If I could give less stars If I would. KATHY, the manager at the northtown mall spokane is unprofessional, knows nothing about customer service, and is a frumpy dresser.
I have a friend that works there. So the only time I shop there is when she is works so I can give me her honest opinion and let me know whats trendy right now. On multiple occasions have I went in to shop from my friend and Kathy has micro managed my friend into stop helping me to go put stock away or something, leaving me to shop alone. On this occasion I had enough.
I needed a dress for this weekend and I had a break in my schedule so I thought I would go in and see if I could find a dress for the night out. Right when I walk in to tumble weeds like a western, ( I was the ONLY customer in the store) my friend tells me Kathy was there so we knew we were going to get separated.
My friend and I walk around the store she is helping me decide if theres anything I want to try on and its about 10 minutes before Kathy comes up and tells her to go do something else. I then pipe up and say "well I need some help but okay" As my friend listens to her boss and goes away Kathy comes up to me and says "what can I help you find?" I inform her "just looking for something for the weekend but i'm good thanks" she then says "Oh I thought you needed help?" I said "Yes but I want help from my friend and I will wait" at this point I start to walk away because its obvious I don't want help from someone who can barely dress them selves and takes her employees away from doing what their job, which is to help the customer. As we walk away from each other she says "well it might be awhile" I go up to her and ask "how long is awhile?" she says "30 min" I then walk to my friend and tell her "i'm leaving because I will not be buying anything if I cannot get it from her." she understands and I leave.
I am extremely upset at the unawareness, the unprofessionalism, and the big head this manager Kathy has. She doesn't even try to hide that she tries to separate her employee from customer just because they're friends. She then tries to see what I need help with which is obviously nothing because I clearly don't want miss Kathy's help. That was the worst customer service experience i've ver had. I am a customer and for Kathy to take away the help I want as the customer is sickening. She prejudged me because I am friends with the person I want to shop from and made me feel like I was doing something wrong. She lost business because of her poor managing style and really does not care about the customers or the employees. Ive already contacted the number on their website and will be pushing this issue more. DONT...

Read more5 young employees with maybe 3 actually working. 2 young men roaming around chatting with each other, checking their phone, even one making a cell phone call, instead of doing their job. Line 4 deep at the Try on area and nobody to open doors. I had to go ask for help for my daughters and then he still wandered away and left a bunch of people in line again.
