Tarik was very Helpful & is arguably one of the greatest custom embroiderers in Minnesota, his handiwork from last year still gets compliments to this day. It's a shame he's no longer there. Lids Staff is hard to come by due to Lids preferring to have 1 person operate a store when it's not busy. when It gets busy, that can be overwhelming for one person so the gate should understandably be closed because work is always being done for serious paying customers, not people looking to browse around. Unless someone is standing outside the store to regulate population then I personally would exercise caution when getting your hat customized here because that's your investment. Anyone untrained or barely skilled in stitching your apparel might ruin your brand new hat & return it to you in a unfavorable fashion. Be patient and willing to leave and return to pick up custom orders so the hat can be properly customized without being rushed. The store/District managers will spy on and pretend to be secret shoppers with the assistant managers & Lids corporate gets upset if their associates take a break and the associates aren't allowed to even sit down at their job, Not Cool. Read moreAbsolutely horrible!!!!!. The so called Manager Tyler was extremely unprofessional and unproductive. He took many smoke breaks throughout his shift in which he closed the store down for hours at a time. I bought two hats from the store which I wanted embroidery. At the time of purchase he was very rude and disrespectful rushing me out the store before even getting clear directions on what I wanted. Tyler told me my hats would be done in a hour or 2. I returned to the store 5 hours later to find he shut the store down to smoke a cigarette there was at least 4 customers outside the store waiting. When he returned my hats had not even been started! In fact it took him 10 min to find my hats because he misplaced them. He then told me he’ll get them done tomorrow. I politely said no thank you I’ll take my hats back. Was rudly told we are closed and " I have to go get my kid so I don't care what the internet said for hours" I left upset and agitated. I proceeded to go to Champs to purchase a new hat. As I was looking for a new hat at Champs the employee from Lids approached me and said "Are you the guy who just left Lids" I said "yes" he than aggressively told me "follow him" I agreed to follow. I felt at this time it was time to get security involved but they were no where to be seen. As we were walking he said "see that store and that store they are closings."
