I brought in a ring not purchased from Kay in hopes that they could repair a bent prong, solder my 3 bands together and replate the rings. I dropped my ring off 11/15/24 paying part of the money up front with a total repair cost of $628. It was estimated to be returned on 12/6/24. When I had heard nothing I believed I called 12/7 inquiring about when my ring would be returned, I was told something along the lines of we'll look into it it was sent to one shop who couldn't do the repairs and then sent to another shop. I was told maybe another 1-3weeks possibly. Then when I called again a week or 2 later they told me it was sent back theh hadn't received it yet but it should be there by that Friday or Monday at the latest. That was before Christmas. Then I called again, they stated it was sent and they still had no received it and had no further information. So today, January 10, 2025 I reached out again and was told that it was lost in transit. They informed me that when they looked into this UPS had marked my ring as delivered to kay jewelers and they supposedly had signed off on this delivery yet there is no record of them receiving this and the ring is no where to be found. Mind you this was my 10 year anniversary ring, we could never afford a ring besides a tungsten band when we got married. This ring, my husband took upon himself to buy and pick out and surprise me. This is the only piece of jewelry I have from him. So replacing the ring by what they can try to do or reimbursing the lost cost that does not come close to replacing the sentiment lost here. I'll leave this tidbit of information about how I feel regarding this and ya'll reading this can decide if you can trust kay jewelers...
When we trust jewelers that PROVIDE timeless pieces of jewelry for other people's sentiment, we expect them to understand the amount of trust we're putting in them to protect these symbols. They violated that trust.
That's all I have to say... proceed with caution if you want your important, sacred jewlery to be with a trusted store. I would look elsewhere honestly.
Keep in mind no one reached out to tell me this until I called...
Read moreIâve done business here for over 10 years. Never a problem until today. Dana the store manager refused to acknowledge me when I walked up to her. She instead continued eating her food behind the counter and waited for several minutes until she was done to even say hi. Then I told her that was rude to make me wait while she ate her food. She could have at least greeted me. Then her employee Emylie became very aggressive and said she didnât care about my account or how long Iâve been doing business there. (she also wasnât wearing a name tag and told me she doesnât have to) in my experience when employees do that itâs because they have poor attitudes and donât want to be identified when they get complaints. Emylie said her manager was not eating behind the counter and only working when itâs all on video. They also refused to give me a receipt at first but after demanding it I got one. The sales associate was super argumentative. I even turned to the manager and said youâre going to let her talk to me this way. The manager Dana just laughed. I have this all on video and reached out to the company and no reply back yet. I am going to send them the video privately via social media hoping they will handle this so other customers arenât treated as bad. I know that store would make a lot more $ if they were under better leadership. I was about to buy new rings from here but I could never go back there again after that.
All this could have been avoided by simply welcoming customers into your store instead of chowing down on food behind the counter. But at least it has exposed the type of worker that is there and the type of manager...
Read more[!] SWAPPED or cracked my diamond and won't rectify : Brought my engagement ring to this location to have it resized one size smaller and the center diamond was either cracked or chipped or they just swapped it for an entirely different low quality diamond. They didn't even take before pictures that weren't a fuzzy blur so basically told me that my diamond has a giant "inclusion" or crack (couldn't tell me exactly which it was) inclusions don't just appear and didn't exist prior to them sending it off to be re sized. I'm just hurt, honestly, to insult my intelligence, telling me that this stone was the same one we hand picked and inspected very closely prior to purchasing. Taking the memories and meaning away like that. My poor fiancé saved a good chunk of change and for this to take place is just...
