Spencer's — Local services in Blaine

Never shopping here EVER AGAIN! I have been a loyal customer to all spencer stores, however this is the worst store I have ever been to. Yesterday I went in and asked for an employee to help me get the Annabelle doll down for me to buy. When I asked for this, she stated that they did not have this product. How do you not have a product that I am clearly seeing? Fast forward…she didn’t want to get it down or touch it because “weird things have happened before” meaning she thinks it’s haunted. Another staff member had to throw in there that it cost $80. I know how much it costs because the day prior I was in there asking about it after yet another purchase from that store. No need to tell me that and say it in a way like I can’t afford it. Once they finally got it down the employee that didn’t want to touch it stated that “wow when did we get that? I’ve been here everyday for 4 months”. Clearly the staff has no idea what they have. Also they seem to not want to help anyone when it’s an inconvenience to them. The rudeness and just condescending tone was not needed. I work in customer service also so I understand that holidays make it tough with people, but when you have someone coming in politely and asking for a product to be taken down to buy right away there should be no issue. I had so much fun here yesterday with my granddaughter. Brought back many memories of when I was a teenager. Still had alot of the same items we had "back in the day", and alot of new things also. All in all though the much remained the same as far as I remember anyways. I bought a few packs of incense because they had some that I hadn't seen before from Gonesh and was pleasantly surprised when I got home because they were 30 packs instead of the 20 packs I normally find everywhere else! I wondered why they were a dollar more but wasn't really paying attention until we got home. Cool cool! I love incense! I still burn it all the time. Other then that I didn't buy anything else and neither did my granddaughter but we spent plenty of time looking around. The 3 employees that were working that day were all wonderful, fun and very helpful! That alone was worth it. That's not very common. I really appreciated them. Both girls working were friendly and helpful. They greeted me as soon as I walked in the store but I'm giving 3 stars because my friend purchased something for me but when I got it home I saw that it was not the right one. I had the receipt because I was with him when he bought it but when I went to return it the sales associate told me they don't give cash back. I asked why and she told me because people like to steal things then return it for the cash. For one that's not the case with me and why would you give someone cash back if they DON'T have a receipt? She ended up giving me the cash back but I wouldn't shop...
