Von Hanson's Meats — Local services in Blaine

I have had good experiences in the past so today was a real disappointment. Of the four workers only one wore a mask. I was the only customer with a mask on. Three workers were standing around chatting and joking. I finally waved and when the butcher came over he seemed rather put out. This was the same young man who made some kind of joking remark about covid. Clearly he didn’t want to wait on me. I asked for two packages of two beef tenderloin tips and he gave me pork. I asked for three packages of two pork chops per pack, he gave me two packages of three per pack. One order of chicken tenderloin he did get right. I spent $74 and won’t be returning anytime soon. So...

I'd never been to this location before, it was busy and maybe the butcher was tired, I don't know. I Ordered 2 lbs of pulled pork got 1lb. Ordered 3 lbs of hamburger, got 1. Ordered 1 lb of hotdogs and got bacon...he weighed,bagged it, and rang it all up (I watched him put the hotdogs back) and I mentioned I was still holding a package of buns and also needed potato salad and handed him my card as he walked back. I never looked at the total, I was just trying to get out of the way because it was busy. I live 20 minutes from there so I didn't see the mistakes until I got home. Oh well, not a big deal. I think Von Hansens usually does...

Don't go here if your looking for ribs! I walked in asking if they had pork spare ribs, either a full rack or St.Louis cut. It took 4 employees to find them. and they were frozen not fresh, and wrapped in a ball. I could not tell what they looked like, but i bought them because of Von Hanson's reputation. i got them home and looked like good quality, but they cut it in half down the length so i had a tiny 3" wide rib and than a giant chunk of skirt with tiny bone tips in them... it was just poor service and...
