Because the Toppers phone number goes to a call center that cannot help out and because the contact form on the website doesn’t work, I guess I’m going to have to make this public on Google.
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with your company's customer service today. While your food remains delicious, the handling of my recent order was unacceptable. I’ve been a loyal customer of the Blaine location for years, ordering multiple times a month without issue—until recently.
This time, I ordered buffalo wings and a sausage & pepperoni pan pizza, using a $10 reward. The process went smoothly until I opened the box to find a plain cheese pizza instead. While I can overlook the mix-up, my 10-year-old son, who is particular about his pizza, cannot. Following the advice on your receipt, I called customer care. After 20 minutes on hold, I was disconnected. I called back, explained the issue to a representative named Casper, and was put on hold again, only to be disconnected once more. On my third call, Casper tried to contact the store directly but reported no one was answering.
Frustrated, my husband and I drove to the store. My husband explained the situation to the manager, who was dismissive and inconsistent in her responses, even denying the phone had rung. She asked how we wanted the issue resolved, instead of offering a solution herself, which is unprofessional. After much back-and-forth, she begrudgingly made a replacement pizza and offered a coupon for a free 2-topping pizza as compensation.
In total, we wasted an hour resolving what should have been a simple issue, received no apology, and left feeling disrespected. As a once-loyal customer, I am deeply disappointed and will be seeking a new pizza shop. This experience, coupled with previous issues, makes it clear that Toppers has failed to uphold its reputation for...
Read moreManager Bryan was totally unprofessional and rude. Pulled up to Pick up a order at 12 noon and texted that I arrived. The store replied it will be a few more minutes, cool I wait and chill for a few. 25 minutes later I finally start getting annoyed because people who came after us were leaving before us and no one seemed to want to help us or explain the wait. The manager at first came out with the wrong order than turned around and went and grabbed the right order. Than he proceeded to hold the pizza next to his stomach and ask what my issue is, I stated you guys took 30 minutes for one pizza when it said it would be ready at noon I proceeded to state I was gonna report this to the owner and he stated “I am the owner and we just got 200 pizza order and we are super busy and I was informed you wouldn’t be here for another 40 minutes” even though my phone literally said pick up time noon. Basically making up excuses instead of just apologizing for the wait and going on with his day. He than proceeded to say he never wanted me back at the store again which is totally fine because I posted a video of his behavior on the internet and I also am gonna post everywhere not to every come to this pizza place ever again. My aunt was with also and was shocked on how rude the “owner Bryan” was. Learn professionalism if you’re gonna own a restaurant. Also this is definitely not retaliation because I sent the video to door dash and explained what happened and went on with the rest of my night and also when I dropped the food off I took a picture of the food in a hot bag at the customers house before dropping off. Also I never entered the building i never left my car which doesn’t...
Read moreI ordered delivery from Toppers at about midnight. The order confirmation listed an approximate delivery date of about 40 minutes after I ordered. I've procrastinated in plowing out my driveway. I left a note asking the delivery driver to call so I could meet him at the end of the driveway, with spare change for a tip, since I only had large bills.
Dude calls me only 20 minutes after the order and I'm so confused I thought there was an error with the payment- maybe some card details were put in wrong. Nope, he's sitting AT MY FRONT DOOR with the pizza, after walking all the way up to my front steps.
Their pizza is legendarily good for being a sizeable chain, so much so that I avidly recommend this place to anyone unfamiliar with the Midwest and craving pizza. While I was planning on tipping heavy anyways for the awkward inconveniences of my situation, these people are amazing and the driver deserves every penny, and inspired me to write this review to spread the good word.
So, yeah, Toppers is a little on the expensive side compared to Domino's or Pizza Hut, but honestly, if that's the one complaint you can lodge against this company you don't understand how far above and beyond they go to make that extra money more...
