Save yourself the headache and avoid using this pharmacy. I wasn’t going to do this, but I’m at my wits end. It’s been months of battling with Walgreens in Chums just to pick up my regular monthly prescription. They keep telling me I’m picking it up too early (I’m not). Turns out, instead of billing the way the prescription was written, they’ve been billing my prescription wrong and holding my medication hostage. My insurance company called them yesterday and told them to straighten up or get audited. I was supposed to pick up yesterday, called it in before 11am. First they told me I had to wait until July 7 to pick up. Then, after speaking with my insurance, they told me it would be ready some time yesterday and to just wait to hear from them. Sure, I’ll plan my whole day around waiting to hear from you. Wouldn’t be the first time. I never got a call or a text that it was ready. Today will be the last day I ever pick up a prescription from Walgreens in chums corner. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven there to pick up my medication that’s supposed to be ready and had to wait for hours - I’ve lost track but it’s been no less than 5 times. Never an apology for their crummy customer service and every month, I have to make a plan for how to spend half a day and work it into my schedule to pick up my medication. I’ve always stayed polite, even after waiting for hours several months in a row for what should be a simple monthly refill, I always smile, say please and thank you, etc, and I still feel like I get treated as an inconvenience. I understand staffing shortages may be leading to the chaos that is this pharmacy, but I’m done. No more wasting my time. You may say “could’ve just gone to pick up your meds in the time it took to write this post” to which I say: I’m writing this as I’m...
Read moreWalgreens # 10186 at 1029 M-37, Traverse City, MI 49685 has the worst pharmacist staff I have ever run across. I have been using this pharmacy for my personal needs as well as professional (I work in a provider's office) and I will be ceasing all transactions because of the constant headaches, employee attitudes and incompetence, and etc.
This ranges from apparent inability of some employees to run a HSA card, to having been openly accused by staff of smelling of marijuana when I came to the pharmacy with my young daughter to get our Covid boosters (I have never smoked marijuana in my life and the sheer drama of these clowns acting like they were DEA agents was rage inducing at the end of a long workday) to prescriptions being verified as ready to pick up but not ready when I arrive at the location half an hour later to the cavalier attitude of employees literally laughing in patients' faces, to gross lack of personal hygiene by some of the pharmacy employees dressed in nasty tee shirts and sweat pants , smelling strongly of BO and looking like they've been on a three day bender in the woods. I'm a very tolerant person but I cannot take these...
Read moreI take care of a disabled Sister. Her medications can be complicated at times. The Woman Pharmacist at the Walgreens Chums Corners location went over And ABOVE the call of duty to help us last month!!! She was kind...she was caring and she even made SEVERAL phonecalls to insurance companies/Doctors etc.!!! Who DOES this in this day and age? Not many! I wish I could remember her name. When I find out her name I will write another review so she gets the credit she EARNED! This Walgreens Pharmacy location is BUSY! She didn't HAVE to do ALL that she did for us. But she DID! She is a Rockstar and our hero! Corporate Walgreens should give this Pharmacist a significant RAISE in her pay check! She had earned it. And I am guessing that she likely treats ALL of her customers/patients as she has treated my Family! BRAVO to this amazing Woman for going OVER & ABOVE the call of duty! Thank you,...
