Ok, this is going to be a little long. I’m not usually the type of person to ever leave a review or have bad customer service bother me. But tonight my boyfriend and I decided let’s get taco bell and watch the game. We leave the house at 8:06pm, we get to Taco Bell about 8:12. Immediately, we end up waiting 15 minutes to order in the drive -thru, which is expected, and there were only about 6 cars including two behind me that hadn’t ordered yet. As soon as I’m able to order, the male employee won’t let me speak or even order food, just keeps saying anything else, is that it, is that all. After every item I said. You could just tell he was annoyed with us ordering. I continue away and try to ask if they have nachos fries, as I saw them available to order online two days prior. Before I can even finish asking, he yells no. At this point I’m fed up with being rushed and with the way he’s talking to me. After we order we wait for another 30 minutes just to move up one car space. Finally we make it to the window to get our food, you can hear one of the employees say he wasn’t a reliable employee and doesn’t care if he gets fired. We wait for another 7 minutes for the rude employee to come take our money, I’m paying with Apple Pay, as he goes to slam the window closed, it doesn’t work, so he flings open the window and says try again while flinging the card reader out at me, in the most disrespectful, condescending manner. I was shocked. He then goes to hand me our drinks, he does it so aggressively, I nearly spill the drinks on me. And after that I started talking about him to my boyfriend, pretty much ranting about how this was ridiculous. And this is the worst I’ve ever been treated in a drive-thru. As we’re still waiting, another employee comes to the window and apologizes for the wait and says there will be an extra free burrito in the bag. I’m thankful as this is finally someone being nice. He also asked about the lions game and tried to lighten the mood, as you could just tell he was embarrassed by the way the other employee was acting. Although that employee was nice, we paid $40 and ended up with up $15 worth of food. We got...
Read more9 p.m. I lay awake after finishing a crisp bowl of the devils lettuce when suddenly the munchies hit my like the Japanese hit us at Pearl Harbor. Thoughts of delicious fried chicken fill my head. There’s only one man that can satisfy my chicken needs... the colonel. Avast, he has let me down and I’m forced to find another solution. My mind races. I know I’m losing precious time and soon I will succumb to sweet death by starvation. Wait! Could it be? Yes, the Taco Bell is still open. I put on my warmest slippers and brave the sun arctic tundra, knowing damn well I could easily lose my leg to the freezing temps. There’s no turning back now. I must satisfy my insatiable hunger. I battle fierce roads for what seems to be a lifetime. Red lights and green blend together as they rush past me. Finally I arrive, my mouth is watering as I pull up to the drive through. I proudly announce that I would like a chalupa supreme with no tomoto. Eagerly I read back what’s on the screen and pull forward. A large walrus women stares blankly out the window. Void of any intellectual thought. I hand my card to her. Without any sort of signs of human compassion she robotically performs her tasks and hands us the bag. This is it. The moment I’ve been waiting for. I tear into the bag and open my prize... an ice cold chalupa...
Read moreFor being a drive through fast food establishment, you would have the base expectation of the following:
Your food would be made to order. The food would be mediocre. Your food would come relatively quickly.
This Taco Bell location however, took over 40 minutes to give us our food from the time we pulled into the drive-thru. We had the pleasure of watching an employee arrive for his shift, button up his pants as he gets out of his car. Loe and behold he was actually smoking a cigarette with his children in his car with him.
We pull up to the first window, and the attendee walks away without notice and does not return. Therefore no one is there taking orders, or taking payment for orders. We eventually pull up to the second window hoping to have someone close us out and deliver our food, and that does happen... eventually (see the above-referenced timeline).
I understand that this is a Taco Bell, one of the lowest rated food chains on the food chain, but if you're a fast food joint there isnt a complicated process to keep to. Be the reliably mediocre food that we all know, but for gods sake you have a single job to do and that is to...
