Spencer's Grocery — Local services in Blanchard

This is my go to place for most of my shopping. The employees are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. They don't mind going to the storeroom to look for something that might be sold out on the shelves. Their prices might be slightly higher on some items, compared to the big chain "supercenter" that has driven so many smaller businesses out of business but it's so worth it to walk in and be recognized and treated more like family than just a source of money in their pockets. Besides you spend more money by driving further just to "save money with lower prices". I believe in supporting the little guy and keeping our local companies in business. I don’t give out one star reviews lightly… Eight times out of 10 that I’ve Purchased produce… The bottom is rotten… When buying alcohol they require a scan on the ID which is actually illegal but they don’t actually give a shit. Overall… Really bad management can’t wait until a bigger chain comes around and knocks these guys out of business very thin cuts of meat for twice the price of anywhere else just an overall very poor quality grocery store if it was not the only game in town believe me I would not...

Prices like you'd expect from a small town market are a bit high but I still appreciate having them there when I need a quick run for something. They don't carry everything I normally need but they do have a couple that I've not seen anywhere else; like the remarkable frozen strawberry rhubarb pie that's made from scratch in PA, I believe.
