I thought I'd give this place another try and went to Blanchard Sonic in the evening this time, not that it matters what time of day. Knowing from past experiences(plural), I would have to check my order before leaving. Upon ordering at the drive thru, the screen indicated everything correct, hold the cheese,mayo, fries intead of tots, etc. And after receving my food, I parked in a car-hop space to double ckeck the order. Good thing I did, you guessed it, they didn't hold the cheese, tots instead of fries. They must hire people that dont care or don't now how to pay attention to detail, or if they dont like special orders, just tell us. After complaining that this has happened on multiple occasions, the person on the other end apologized and agreed to send out a corrected order. When the car hop arrived, he said he would need to get the wrong burger and tots back, which I had no problem with even though they they couldn't do anything with it except throw it away, but I felt like they didnt believe me. There will probably be an apologetic response to this review, but given the number of other patrons complaints about getting orders wrong, it will all be for not...I guess We'll stick to their competitor across the street that starts with a "B" or better yet, go to "The Garage" for my burgers. My wife stopped in the evening of September 6th for a quick bite to eat on the way home from an event. After placing her order she waited 20 minutes while other orders around her were filled. When it became apparent that her order wasn’t being made she pressed the button to ask for help. The employee stated that they had somehow forgotten my wife’s order and that they would now start making it. Another 20 minutes go by and my wife asks for a refund, because at this point a restaurant making food is just far too difficult. She was told that a refund can’t be issued because there is no management on site.
This is the legal definition of larceny. The employee could’ve grabbed ten dollars out of the till and my wife would have went on her way. Instead they practically held her hostage and refused product as well as remediation. I understand these buildings are staffed by clueless teenagers but there should be at least one adult with a functioning brain on premises to keep the children from committing obvious fraud. I quit going to sonic years ago due to the insane long wait times for unpredictable quality fast food.
This spring, we started frequenting Sonic again due to a busy schedule and needing to feed work crews quickly.
We haven’t once been able to get our food and just go. Either the button didn’t activate for months, or we were just stuck waiting and waiting until we’d drive around to another stall or the drive through.
When the button does work, they have been forgetting our food EVERY TIME. After the screen goes blank, I press the button again, wait, and have to explain that I’m still waiting on my food. It miraculously appears each time, within seconds. Usually 15 minutes after I have ordered.
Today I purposely ordered small to make it quick. We were out of coffee at home so I rushed to Sonic before work. I ordered 2 drinks and 1 order of tots. It took 14 minutes and me pushing the button again to get my order. There were maybe 5 or 6 cars there.
It’s a bummer because sonic is the closest thing to my house but we refuse to go...
