Good selection of fresh produce, meats, organic grocery items, and healthy options overall. There is a section with items that are "here today, gone tomorrow" that I feel always has some items worth checking out, whether seasonal or going out of stock. I usually bring my reusable bag and put my items in there, but if I forget it I can usually find an empty box on the shelf or in one of their carts that I can use to put my items in to save on plastic waste and buying a bag from them. Super convenient and great for the environment. Good selection of meats and fruit, especially if you want something locally grow. Prices fluctuate but they seem reasonable to me in comparison for the quality of items you're getting.
I will say the self checkouts rolling out at many of the Aldi's are game changers. Otherwise, the lines can get pretty ridiculous and, besides holidays, I don't think I've ever seen more than two lanes open at a time at ANY Aldi from Illinois to Indiana. Other than that, I love going to Aldi for the prices, quality of ingredients, and the "here today, gone tomorrow" section!!!
P.S. there is a section in most Aldi locations with items from gardening to shoes to blankets to coloring books. Great finds in...
Read moreI go almost every day there. Good prices and quality stuff. My only complaint is a mature black woman that always give me less change when checking out or charges me more items when scanning. I'm a Hispanic man, and this happens all the time when I check out with her. Every time I let her know her "mistake" she makes an angry racist face while asking "what"? I don't like her attitude, and I'm pretty sure I'm have been racially targeted by this woman. The other day I grabbed two butterloaf cakes that were 1/2 price, even they had a big red half price label, but she didn't care and charged me at regular price. Another day grabbed two frozen pizzas, she scanned one, then scanned the other twice. Don't know what's wrong with her, but this happend not once, not twice, but more times. I guess she do the same with all Hispanics, I don't think I'm the only one who is suffering discrimination. That's not good since I'm a customer and I take my money to expend it there, I'm not a beggar, I'm not ask for charity, I have several years shopping there (since 2005). Aldi should test it employees for racial issues. I still love shopping at Aldi and I...
Read moreI recently had a group interview here. When we arrived. We were told that the general manager who conducts the interviews had a prior engagement and would not be there to do the interviews. There was no email or call in advance to inform of us of this before we arrived. We did a tour of the store and we're asked to write down our names and numbers be contacted to come back for an actual interview. I received an email stating. "Thank you for your interview. But we've decided to go on with other candidates." But there was no interview done to receive this email. This was inconsiderate and unprofessional. It shows alot about how things will be ran there. It was not meant for me...
