Terrible Experience â Avoid This Garage
I came to Boston for a concert and parked at Somerset Garage, which turned out to be a huge mistake. When I arrived, I asked the attendant what time they closedâhe was extremely rude and just said, "Go in, donât worry about it," without giving me a straight answer. He charged me $40, and that was it. After the concert, I came back to get my car only to find the garage was locked up. No one answered the phone, and there were no signs or warnings that they would close with vehicles still inside. I had no choice but to come back the next day. When I finally spoke to someone the next day, the new attendant told me overnight parking is $45 and questioned why I was only charged $40. I had no answerâbecause no one explained anything to me. On top of that, their own website says overnight parking is $40, so nothing made sense. Most importantly, they donât tell you that if you donât pay for overnight parking, they will literally lock your car inside the garage. No warning, no signs, no communication. This was a horrible experience and completely unacceptable. I would strongly recommend finding a more reputable and transparent parking facility if you're visiting Boston. Stay far away...

My wife and I were looking for parking to go to a store on Newbury, so we pulled in here. We both heard the attendant (listed on the receipt as Idris B.) quote us $20; after parking, we noticed we were charged $40, the event rate.
After no more than 2.5 hours, I returned to get our car, and on the way out, stopped to ask the attendant if we had been overcharged. A simple âsorry, thereâs nothing we can doâ wouldâve avoided me writing this, but he was needlessly combative â naming a slew of unspecific âeventsâ in the area and saying stuff like âwhat, you want your money back?â When I said I was just asking a question, he fired back with an âeverybody always tries to just âtalkâ about it.â
All in all, it was an entirely unpleasant experience brought about by an unnecessarily bitter individual. Do yourself a favor and listen to the other bad...
Read moreTerrible parking lot. You have to guess now long youâre going to park and then if you go over you have to pay a second time. You also have to park where the attendant tells you to even if there are plenty of open spots available. Typical downtown parking garage, zero service, overpriced, and a spaced out attendant who doesnât care about anything except collecting the fare. When I asked âwhy is it like this?â The attendant just shrugged his shoulders and said âfour more.â When I paid and told him this system stinks he just said âI know.â
Youâd be better off parking in a tow zone than this...
