Truly phenomenal burgers. Sometimes restaurants use cheap beef, and you get burgers with pieces of cartilage or something harder (frozen burgers are usually like this). This was NOT a frozen burger. It was pure muscle, no hard bits, and MASSIVE. It was filling and delicious.

I did ask for cheddar, instead of American cheese, on my Burger Bomb, but what was given didn’t taste like cheddar. I asked and they took the sandwich away to see if that’s what it was. I hate when servers take your food and bring the same food back. I think there’s a healthcode issue with that.

Anyway, my burger was brought back and I was told it was white cheddar. It didn’t taste like cheddar. Maybe it was Swiss? Maybe really bland cheddar. I love the kick of cheddar and this was missing it. I normally don’t put ketchup on a burger when I have cheese, but this needed it, so the cheese and the taking the burger to bring back the same burger were reasons for a four instead of five star review. The burger itself was fantastic.

I also don’t like that you can’t get fries with your burger. Seems very odd. The burger comes with crispy chips, which I didn’t like, or beans, which my belly would not like. I asked if I could substitute sweet potato fries (which they have). No. You can’t. You can pay $9!!!!! Wow…this seems like a glaring issue. Fries are classic.

I also got the Holy Cannoli Frappe. It was quite tasty! Cannolis can be made with mascarpone or with 6x sugar and ricotta. I prefer the ricotta, so I didn’t eat the cannoli, which made me sad.

The frappe was phenomenal though and more than i can imagine anyone finishing!

We already knew we wanted a burger and a shake to share. Their fancy shakes were called “Freakfrappes” and they all looked super tasty! We decided to go with Strawberry Shortcake. It was MASSIVE! The shake was super tasty! It had several strawberry pieces on the bottom, which was nice tough. But, at the same time, it made it a bit harder too drink… Overall, we were VERY happy with our Freakfrappe!

For food, we ordered specialty fries with the burger, since the burger comes with chips, and you can’t substitute it with anything else. We ordered Bruschetta Fries and it was HUGE! And even more so, it was DELICIOUS!!! Very unique, I never had fries like this before. Amazing and addictive, it was love at first bite!

Then the burger. We went with Killer Bee. Our server asked us if we were going to share the burger, and we said yes. With that, the burger came pre-cut in half. Very nice service and kind consideration, but I wish if they didn’t do that… I was looking forward to how this burger was going to “look.” It was supposed to have this beehive look with the stacked onion rings, but they got smashed when they got cut in half… Oh well… The burger had a nice sweet bbq flavor. Thick patty that was juicy with melty cheese cuddling the patty.We enjoyed this burger a lot!

The food portion was so huge, we couldn’t finish. We enjoyed everything immensely though. Our server Katherine was great, super friendly and welcoming. She took a really good care of us. We had a nice dinner here, I would love to go back again and try some other Freakfrappe and burgers, and...

Boston Burger Company is one of those stops that sticks with you. I went for the Big Papi Burger, skipped the onions, lettuce, tomato, and guacamole, and even without all that it was a massive and amazing burger. It came out stacked tall, juicy, and packed with flavor. Honestly, it was one of those knife-and-fork jobs because there’s no way you’re fitting it all in one clean bite. That’s part of the fun though messy, over-the-top, and worth every bit of it.

The fries on the side were solid, crisp on the outside with the right amount of salt, and the cold beer paired perfectly. Sometimes it’s the simple things that tie a meal together, and here they nailed it.

I didn’t order a milkshake this time, but I saw one go by and it looked off the hook. Piled high with toppings and extras, the kind of shake that makes you gain five pounds just looking at it. It’s on my list for next time because they looked unreal.

The vibe inside the shop was cool, laid-back, and fun. Staff kept things moving, the atmosphere felt casual and local, and it was exactly the kind of spot you want when you’re hungry and want a burger that’s way beyond the basics.
