Cone Funeral Home — Local services in Bowling Green

Cone was one of two funeral homes recommended to me. After checking both online, I found that Cone Funeral Home was extremely nice and significantly less expensive. When I actually went to the funeral home, I found Mr. Cone to be sensitive to my needs and thoughtful and respectful of my wishes for my mother. He outlined the options for a funeral in Texas with him actually transporting the deceased himself and for cremation here in Bowling Green, both without being pushy or trying to "sell" me something more expensive. Both options Mr. Cone outlined were considerably less expensive than other funeral homes, and the one for the funeral was about $10,000 less than I had been quoted from a funeral home in my hometown in San Angelo, TX. As it turned out, twelve hours after I had made arrangements for my mother, she passed away. Mr. Cone and his associate came in the wee hours of the morning to our home and transported my mother, all the while being reverent of the situation and our loss. From the first encounter with Mr. Cone & his staff I knew we had made the right decision without a doubt. They handled our needs with the upmost respect and concern. I was very pleased with the service we got from start to finish. When we were making the arrangements the only suggestions or recommendations made were based totally on our expressed wishes. There was no pressure to purchase anything above our stated needs. It was obvious that they took great care of my husband which provided a sense of calm and peace to our family. The staff makes you feel like your family’s needs and wants are all that matter. When listing our 18 grandchildren I actually left a name off by mistake. Before sending the obituary to the paper the staff reviewed the content one more time counting the names and realized one was missing.
