First of all, how is it that some of (if not) the best NY-style pizza I’ve had in Berks County is now found in Boyertown of all places? Nothing against Boyertown, just seems an unlikely place for such a gem of a pizza joint. Yet I’m super happy about it! Because, I live out of state right now and I drive through Boyertown on the way down and back quite often.
At the time of this review, they’re fairly new, fledgling business in town and maintaining a perfect 5.0 rating on Google. I’m happy to report, it’s a very worthwhile assessment. This has got to be the cleanest pizza shop I’ve ever been in. I can tell by the way they were working, it’s probably going to be just as pristine years from now.
Nevertheless, the pizza is divine if you’re a fan of NY-style pizza. Perfectly thin pie, evenly browned crisp (not crunchy) bottom. The outer crust wasn’t overly fluffy yet I couldn’t help but eat it, because the dough, on its own, is tasty and has a nice texture. Their individual to-go slices are big enough that you need ‘the fold’ to eat them.
Pizza so good it rivals the best spots found in Reading and possibly Philly even. Worth a special destination trip, especially if you’re pairing it with other activities like grabbing a bite before taking a ride on the train, which is what I did with...
Read moreBest Italian food around and best prices too! This is our new go-to place for takeout. We’ve had the taco pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, a ricotta cheesesteak pizza, and today we had the bacon/chicken/ranch/spinach/tomato sandwich, the broccoli bites, and the Nicky’s cheesesteak (garlic, provolone and roasted peppers). EVERYTHING was delicious and far exceeded our expectations and beat everyone’s prices around. Their tomato sauce is absolutely perfect and I can’t wait to try the pasta dishes next. You can easily order online and even earn points ($10 off every 3 points), park at the door and get your order right away, and every person at the counter has given me a great greeting and thanked us for our patronage. I can’t say enough great things about this place and I hope they really become a Boyertown favorite...
Read moreFound this place randomly while looking for something to eat near our hotel. If I could give them better than 5 stars I would. Got a half plain half pepperoni pizza. It was cooked perfectly, thin crust that was the perfect mix of crunchy and soft. A 6 piece bone in wing that had me licking the leftover sauce out of the box. Finally for dessert my wife and I split an order of chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu that was to die for. Cute little shop in an old house on the main drag. The only reason I gave a 4 out of 5 on atmosphere is simply because A: there is no interior seating and B: there is a lack of outdoor signage making the place easy to miss when trying to find. (I drove past it twice). Definitely though if you're in Boyertown and looking for good food this is the place, well priced...
