I came in having paid $69.99 for their most expensive Groupon for oil change and tire rotation. It took about 30 minutes for the guy at the register to figure out how to put in the redemption code for the Groupon. Then, he claimed my car model required an extra half quart of oil over the five (something no other oil change center has tacked on, nor said is even required— sketchy) and told me it would cost nearly $18. I told him if he was going to charge me an exorbitant cost for a half quart of oil then I’d like to keep the remainder of the other half of the bottle (as obviously that price is wayyyy higher than any other place where you’d buy a quart of oil), but he refused to give it to me, saying “that’s not how it works.” He then backpedaled and said that was the price for only half a quart, and the full quart was more, so I asked how much, and he couldn’t give me a solid answer, just increasing it saying, “I dunno, $22, $23, $24…” with a shrug. Hmmm…Seems like a horrific overcharge for half a quart vs a full quart. So I said I’d pay the extra few dollars for the rest of that oil, and he again told me that’s not how it works and refused to allow me to pay for the remainder to keep it. Then he started adding on all these additional fees…Sales tax is understandable, no problem with that, but when I asked what the “shop fees” were, he said parts and labor, and couldn’t even specify to me which type of filter my car took. But he made it very clear to me that “using their lifts” was something I had to pay for (despite the shop being almost empty and having around ten of them) and as if other cars wouldn’t require such a “service.” Never mind that on top of it, the guy was super rude to me due to his own lack of knowledge. So, once he’d calculated all the ways he could max out charges that would be covered by the fine print in the Groupon, the total extra (on top of the $70 I’d already paid for the Groupon) was over $47. What an AWFUL bait and switch!!! If you’re going to charge customers THAT much over and above the advertised price, you should make clear an approximate range they can expect to have to pay when you bring it in. I even asked if I cancelled the Groupon and just asked for an oil change and tire rotation, what would the price be? And there was the epitome of why this is such an awful bait and switch: it came out to the exact same price as my total between the Groupon and the extra charges, to the penny. What’s even worse? They were totally unaware of the extra services (such as checking brakes etc.) that were detailed in the Groupon, and I only became aware of this when another team member said “all you’re getting is a tire rotation and oil change,” so I actually had to show him the additional “maintenance check” type of services the Groupon detailed, via my own cell phone. The icing on the cake? They surely did NOT perform those extra services, as they didn’t review the systems check diagnostics prior to or after payment upon pickup. AND they were in no way reflected on my invoice/service record. Even the sign they had on the counter was long since expired and clearly no one took accountability for even minor customer-facing ads like that. An absolutely awful experience that cost me about three times what I’d pay anywhere else, took FOREVER to get started due to lack of training of personnel, and total lack of caring customer service. Even the fact that they couldn’t be bothered to call me when the car was ready to be picked up, and when I walked back to the location, my car was first in line on the side of the shop with multiple cars behind it, showed that my car had been ready for pickup for a while, and they had zero respect for my time after taking about 45 minutes after my appointment time just to get me set up in the computer due to their lack of training and bring the car back. What. A. NIGHTMARE!!! Go elsewhere if you want timely service and fair prices....
Read moreI haven't been to place a long time, but felt I needed to post a review to warn everybody after people I know recently asked if they should bring their cars to this place. The answer is a flat out NO. The guys at the front desk are scammers and it's quite obvious they don't know what they're doing.
I work on my car most of the time and only bring my car to a shop for things like tires. When I brought it in for that and an alignment, they said I needed a new steering rack because it was leaking, which was something around $700-$1300. They said it would be dangerous to leave the shop without getting it fixed. I said no thanks and guess what... I've been driving the car for over nine years after that with absolutely no problems whatsoever related to the steering rack. They also can't seem to get an alignment done correctly. I had to take the car back three times until they got it done right. My sister also went in for tires on a separate occasion(wish I warned her) and she also had to go back to get the alignment redone because it wasn't done correctly in the first place.
I also noticed all the tactics they use on customers while I was waiting, especially women. One customer asked to see where the power steering fluid reservoir was located and the guy at the front desk(Art Denues) refused to show her but rather kept pushing for them to do some service related to that instead. The prices they were charging for easy normal maintenance things like air filter was way overpriced. Granted other shops do this as well, what they were charging seemed excessive. I believe it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 quoted for an air filter. It's also pretty sad to watch them spew a bunch of baloney trying to sell Nitrofill air(although, this isn't the only shop that does this). This isn't NASCAR where they actually might make a difference. For street cars, nitrogen fills should either be free or cost next to free.
I don't know who is there anymore, but when I went many years ago, the main two guys in the front were Art and this bigger guy(I forgot his name). These guys aren't auto mechanics, they're salesman who try to con customers with high prices and random miscellaneous charges. Even worse, some of their "mechanics"(not fully competent I might add) are in with them on it and spew the same lies. Do not bring your car here, you...
Read moreDo not go here. I am not one to write reviews but this experience just absolutely made me feel like it was better to let everyone know. I came in at 10:30 am WITH an appointment. I tell them i am only here for a tire replacement on all four tires. So i wait a little about a hour ish, it comes 12:40 and it looks like my car is still on the jack not having any work on it. I also did notice my car didn’t get on the jack until 11:10. They were saying how there was another car that was in front of me but it wasn’t there yet. So they waited for the another come in than decided to put my car on the jack. I come and ask the lady why is just tire replacement taking almost 3 hours. She said that they have to do a full inspection, test drive the car, and get the tires rebalanced, but all the time i been there I didn’t see the mechanic even work it on and the rear tires were off for a hour !! * I am sitting where i can see my car thur the glass in the door* When i started to complain about it they actually started working on my car and it was done in 5 minutes!!! like what???? Absolutely insane. There was also another lady who was waiting on her car as well and she waited longer than me and soon to come find out , they got her car mixed up with another one. Like how do you mess that up. And the lady at the front didn’t even say sorry or anything to me when i ask what is going on!!!. She also said that a appointment didn’t matter. SO WHATS THE POINT IN MAKING A APPOINTMENT!!! Management is a...
