I’m going to start off with the fact that I’ve never went into any of the rooms; however, the customer service alone, is worth going back and actually having some fun. My cousins and I thought it was a good idea to go here for one of their birthdays. A little insight, they’re from out of the country and the whole escape room concept is extremely new and to the rest’ surprise, very very unsettling for them. Had we known, we wouldn’t have booked a room. But we did and they backed out before we could even start the game. Before you pay, you’re required to sign an agreement, noting that you’re aware there are no refunds or cancellations, under any circumstances. We all did and we all paid. Now, this is the point they started to get very scared so the extremely patient and kind employee, forgive me for not remembering their name, let us enter and get a sneak peak. Sneak peak turned out to scare them even more, so we all weren’t going to play and we wanted a refund because we paid for a service and did not get it. So speaking to the employee, we were told that he’s out of control which made sense because he’s not the owner. So he explained how the owner was not present for a reason and they’re busy. Despite that fact, we were given their number. As we called them a gentleman answered and explained to use that the out of country guests would get a refund but the rest, wouldn’t. Of course we wouldn’t be okay with that because we were being dealt 2 options we didn’t agree with, leave your foreign cousins in the lobby and play the game, or leave and lose almost $120 for no reason. So, an extremely sweet woman took over and spoke to us, after making the entire story clear, she had no issue with giving us a refund despite their policy. And that alone, is the sole purpose I will be going back. They were extremely patient, understanding, sympathetic and were willing to hear us out. I also would like to thank the employee that night for dealing with us because as many times as some of the group had spoken to him to make executive decisions when he had no control over anything, he remained composed and polite and had to reiterate the obvious, “I am not in control of anything, this is something only the owners can decide.” I apologize for that. But I will...
Read moreRoom Raiders was recommended to us by the owners of another escape room establishment. Believe me when I tell you that we were not disappointed.
My wife and I have visited many escape rooms and Room Raiders is one of the best. The two of us like work as a team and we loved that we could have the room to ourselves without having to pay extra. Other escape rooms have you pay for all 8 slots but Room Raiders allows you to keep your party together without playing with strangers.
Booking is easy enough. You do it online or by calling in. We booked their Bloody Mary room and it was awesome. The amount of detail, the difficulty of the puzzles, and the option of having live actors is simply perfect. We loved the experience so much that we immediately booked their Asylum room for later that day. Asylum was just as good as Bloody Mary.
The game master allows you to play at your speed and doesn't give away the answers to puzzles needlessly. I say this because some seem to push you to solving the room and it can take away from the experience. The staff knew just how to "nudge" you along if you were stuck without making you feel helpless.
Finally, just to let you know how excited we were to try their rooms, we drove 45 minutes to enjoy them. So if you want some great rooms, visit this place. You'll be...
Read moreI will preface my review by saying that I've done around 60 escape rooms throughout the state of Florida and have seen a huge variation of puzzles, themes, and rooms. With that said, Room Raiders is one of the best rooms I've done, especially in the South Florida area.
The Asylum Room was scary, but not TOO scary. I would also say that It is a good room for escape room experts and new escape room players, as there is a good mix of difficult and easier puzzles in the room. The puzzles were also very well done and both my friend and I saw ones that neither of us had seen before. The theme was well done and the room was decorated well to fit in with the theme (in fact, we were told that one of the signs in the room was from an ACTUAL asylum!).
I did the room with one other person and we escaped with about five minutes left, thanks to a few clues and nudges! Overall, I'd highly recommend Room Raiders as one of my favorite rooms in the area and a great room whether it's your first or your fiftieth. I'm extremely excited for their "Breakout" Room, which is coming at the...
