Why are people so rude completely unprovoked? I don't know if it's just my luck or what, but every time I come here the same associate has a weird attitude. The only two times I've visited this month. The first visit was for an exchange of an unopened item with a receipt.
She rang it up anyway as "no receipt" and then declined to let me enter my number for rewards when I offered, even though I paid over $10 more in difference and wanted those points towards my next purchase. The next time I went in for a pickup order, I said hi and had my pickup email ready, got my ID out, and she had her face all twisted up and annoyed like I'd just asked her the most absurd question. You would seriously think I'd asked this employee to move a mountain for me. I don't know how making a purchase of cheap accessories could be such a large inconvenience to the point of making a face at every completely normal interaction at your job.
So, I emailed customer service for my points and to report both incidents. You'd think that would resolve everything, but no. Instead, Claire's refers me to a string of multiple customer service, support and corporate emails and phone numbers to have a simple issue resolved. The associate on the phone was friendly and was happy to confirm that I should indeed still receive points for my purchase as long as I'm willing to provide proof of receipt. I sent it to THREE CLAIRE'S EMAILS. They ALL shoveled any accountability over to the next department and refused to help, each claiming the other is responsible to help me. Nearly 2 weeks later, this is the half-witted response I get.
I'm sorry, but who typed this? Does this appear to be a professionally written response from an adult to a customer? Not only is this response incorrect, it contradicts their own policy AND direct information I was given TWICE by their own customer service line. So, what gives? I have a brand new receipt with a whole new purchase. Claire's, you're not doing me any favors or giving me a "courtesy" by giving me points I EARNED and am therefore ENTITLED TO with MY spent money. DO NOT SPEND HERE. Their accessories are trash even more now than ever before, apparently not even worth shopping on a whim for cute bachelorette party accessories.
You're permanently marking off your products over 50% off because you're TRASH. Clearly nobody pays you any money at all, so you might as well be decent to the few paying customers you do have lingering around. Your bread and butter demographic is literally clueless grandmas and relatives looking for an easy kiddie gift. Once they're gone, you have nothing left. All the 8-13 year olds got the hint that you suck and moved on to Sephora and Tilly's, as they should. If Claire's does not care about their customers or quality of service, then what do they even actually do all day as a brand? Because we all know it's definitely not the fabulous quality of products we were shopping here for...
Cheap, glittery trash. That's what Claire's will be remembered as when they finally go bankrupt....

I shopped around a lot to find out where I wanted to do my second ear piercing. I actually went somewhere else first, had a terrible experience, and came to Claire’s to get the piercing fixed. I wish I’d followed my gut and started her first. Every time I’ve gone in, the girls have been patient and made me feel so comfortable ❤️ The piercing was quick and nearly painless, and they were amazing keeping my anxiety at bay. Prices are good and seem to be about the same throughout the mall, but the service is what really sets them apart. After about a month from my piercing, I got an email for a Free pair of earrings to celebrate! That was amazing enough, but I just got another Free earring. Small print says 1 free for the next 12 months! Why wouldn’t you...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with Clairs. Went for an outing to the mall today, and for the most part felt very comfortable with the social distancing throughout the entire mall, until I got to this store. It is a very small space allowing 32 people in according to the sign. It was packed wall to wall with people in like a 10x10 space. Other stores 10 times the size were only allowing 10 people in at a time with clearly mark spots to wait in 6ft apart. Why would you not do this? Obviosly you dont agree with the social distancing and have a blatant disregard for not only your employees health, but also your customers. Well you lost...
