If you want terrible service and rude staff, this is the place for you. We put our names in at 6:31pm and were told it would be a 60 minute wait. After hearing nothing for an hour I went in and asked how much longer and the kid did not even remember how many people we had. I reminded him it was 8 and I pointed out there were 2 empty back to back booths we could use. He said he could not sit anyone because his kitchen was behind. I asked how long and he went and spoke with kitchen staff, he came back and said 20 minutes. While waiting outside, I observed the other host seat a table of 4 at one of the booths that were open. I went back in a spoke with her, she was the manager, and told her I was just told they were not seating anyone because the kitchen was backed up. She said that wasn’t true, she said she was waiting on a different table for our party of 8. I explained that I just told the other kid we could sit at the 2 open booths that she just sat people at and she said she didn’t know we could do that. I told her again that I just told him (the kid that checked us in) that we could do the 2 empty booths. I asked her who the manger was and she said she was, I asked her what the solution was going to be and she said she had to wait for the one table to leave and they had not even paid yet. I said ok and walked out to where my party was. We continued to see they were still seating people even though we were told by the first kid that he could not sit anyone due to the kitchen being behind. The first problem in this situation is the manager doesn’t know what here staff are telling people, communicating with your staff as a manager is key. The second problem is the fact that even after waiting over an hour and 45 minutes, the manager did nothing to make something work for us. And last, the kid that we originally spoke with had zero customer service skills. This whole situation was unfortunate because we had brought our friends to Red Robin for the first time and this is the customer service they get. Needless to say we will never visit this location again and our friends do not feel they will ever try to visit...
Read moreI take my daughter here EVERY Tuesday, well at least I use to, not after tonight. I've had plenty of good times at this restaurant, Tara is about the only good thing about this location, she remembers my daughter every time we come in and smiles. Tonight was a total flip. Now, they're usually understaffed so that was no surprised to see them struggle tonight with getting food out in a timely manner, that wasn't a big deal to me. I was even happy with the speed of how quickly they fixed my wife's burger that was ordered wrong by the waitress. But when it's advertised as a BOGO Burger night, one would expect that a place that advertises all their burgers are gourmet level, there would be no issues. Nope. Didn't even know there was a difference in which burger you needed to get, but the one I ordered, was less expensive than the gourmet burgers. So I didn't get the deal. OK I didn't read the fine print, that's no problem, it wasn't about the money. But it's when a person who's waiting on you, your wife and your daughter looks at you like you're an idiot and says "yea you didn't get a gourmet burger so you don't get the bogo" and won't try to explain it and try to make it right for you or god forbid see if they can still do it for you with their manager is what gets me. That's just an unprofessional level and this location will never get my business back because of Amber. You'll recognize her if she waits on you, short, dark hair, glasses. I left with just a bad taste in my mouth and I understand now why I see other folks look frustrated while they're there, like I said, I'm I was in there EVERY Tuesday. It's a poorly run restaurant is why. I wish them the best of luck, but there are other places to get burgers and have...
Read moreIn a post-pandemic era, it is getting more difficult to hold establishments to the standards prior to 2020, but we have to.
The expectation is that a customer should be greeted with warmth and a friendly smile, seated promptly, and service to begin within 1-2 minutes. Food should be delivered fresh and in proper portions.
Those elements were profoundly missing from this visit.
We arrived and waited about 5 minutes as a table of 2 and a table of 4 were seated. I was fine with that until a second host appeared to seat us with absolutely zero warmth, smile, friendliness, or even a verbal greeting.
We sat at a 2 top for nearly 15 minutes watching as service workers lazily took orders from the previous 2 groups that arrived before us, and then another 2 groups that arrived after us.
Our server finally seeing that we were getting ready to leave, did quickly come over to apologize and took our order.
Initially, we asked for extra fries to be brought out ahead of the burger (it's a Red Robin tradition for many, right?).
What was brought to us, were 2 baskets with a very small amount of tepid stale, partially resuscitated potato clumps. Sad.
Giving 2 stars even after all of this because the Royal Red burger I got was made and presented perfectly. The only shining moment of the visit.
The very tiny amount of fries with the entree did take away from of the shimmer.
Overall, very disappointing and probably enough to warrant not returning as there are many other burger places that are still holding to higher standards of excellence for...
