I went to Dillard's as I normally do to purchase my teen daughter's bras in the lingerie department. I walked up to the counter and greeted the cashiers with a pleasant hello and asked if Charlene would help me this time. There were two ladies there Charlene and another lady. Charlene the lingerie business manager was very unpleasant this time. She didn't even speak acknowledge me or speak back. She turned and walked away leaving the other lady to assist us. The other lady was friendly. Charlene had assisted me by fitting my daughter properly and was very pleasant during out last visit. However yesterday October 5, 2024, she (Charlene M.) was very inhospitable. She did not open her mouth. I wanted to say āwhats wrongā is this how you treat your customers? Her reception during the last visit was like night and day. I had to ask my kids is this the same lady who helped us the last time? My 8 year said yes that's her. She even noticed how rude she was and said how she was so nice the last time versus yesterday she was not friendly at all. They claimed they could not find anything for my daughter this trip. I found that odd since the last time Charlene went above and beyond previously this time she couldn't care less if my daughter had what she needed in less than four hours for homecoming. I left and went to Macyās where my money and business were appreciated and I was greeted and assisted in a friendly manner. Not ignored when I arrived and not greeted or acknowledged by someone who should be leading by example a so-called business manager. As I said Iām the one who spoke first and was friendly when I arrived. It should have been the other way around. When you walk into a business you should be greeted and asked if you need any assistance. I should have left right then and there when Charlene turned and walked off. The other lady had more manners and at least offered to help after her business manager turned and walked away after I spoke and asked for help. I even said I believe you helped me before trying to be friendly. I will never return to this department. Never been treated so rudely before. This is unacceptable and I hope the her manager sees this. I should have gone immediately and asked for her boss. Never again! If she was having a bad day or whatever ever the reason. Do not take it out on innocent customers or kids!!! My 8-year-old can't get over how mean and rude she was saying ā she was mean and rude and didn't even speak. When an 8-year-old notices this behavior from an adult. That's really bad and speaks volumes. I spoke to her again in the dressing area. Do you think she spoke back? Nope, not a word didn't even open her mouth and turned her head. My kids witnessed all of this as if I did not exist. She does not need to be a manager if she doesn't have any customer service etiquette or skills. At her age and her title as a business manager, she knows better. I guess she thinks because she manager in her department she does have to answer to anyone but herself. She should be FIRED!!!!! You don't treat customers like that. Even if you're mad about whatever it is you're going through leave that attitude at home don't bring that nasty attitude to work. Or if another customer pissed you off don't take it out on the next customer. I've worked in health care and customer service. And at no point ever in working with people have I ever been rude to anyone. No matter what I may have been dealing with and Iām younger than she is. Yet I have more manners and customer service skills than what she displayed yesterday. That was awful. I would never treat a patient, client or customer in that manner. Yes I am ranting because I was treated horribly immediately upon walking in for no reason and the public needs to know what to expect from Charlene M. Dillard's Lingerie Business Manager. Helpful one day and nasty attitude and...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat was supposed to be a fun shopping trip, turned out to be the worst shopping experience of my life. When I arrived,I entered by the lingerie and made my way up to the makeup and Jewelry section. By this time I probably had 5-6 clothing items in my hand. A lady at one of the makeup counters asked if I needed help. I said no thank you. She asked if she could hold my items for me. I said no that's OK. But then she kept insisting basically insinuating that I was going to steal them if she didn't absolutely get her hands on them. So, I hand them to her. I finished looking around The bottom half of the store and went back to the counter to get my items because I was going to go upstairs and it was close to closing time so I wasn't sure if she was going to be at the counter when I came back down or not. I go to the counter and inform her that I'm going upstairs and asked forgot my items back. She asked if I wanted to pay for it now and I said no because I wasn't sure what all I was buying and I wanted to try some of it on, that I wasn't done shopping and that I wanted to go upstairs to finish. And she had the audacity to look at me and say 'well what do you need from upstairs?' WHAT? WHAT THE HELL DOES IT MATTER??? She then tells me that she already rang it up. No. You're not gonna force me to pay for stuff i haven't even tried on and decided if I'm gonna buy. I'm not stupid. I knew what the problem was, so I set my purse up on the counter, opened it, and said 'you can look in my purse. I'm not stealing.' She then said- oh no ma'am it not like that'. Oh yes, it's absolutely like that. I had about $400 worth of stuff picked out and didn't buy any of it. So thank you for making me feel like absolute trash. I've been a mall goer my entire life and have NEVER had a staff member from any store make me feel this horrible. It was literally the scene from 'Pretty Woman' .... I understand you don't want thieves in your establishment, but you need to make absolutely sure that's what going on and not assume based on someone's appearance. What was even the problem? That I have visible tattoos? The answer- There wasn't a problem, until your snobby employee created one. I certainly hope you fix this because no paying customer deserves to be...
