Please know that service was actually a ZERO!!!! However, I am not writing this review to detour anyone from visiting this location. In my opinion, Twin Peaks made a very wise business decision establishing itself in Brandon. The location is perfect & the atmosphere is great. HOWEVER, this is based upon my own personal experience regarding the service associated with one specific waitress (Naly). Although, it started off well, it quickly went down hill. Hence, it took my wife and I close to 45 minutes to receive two salad entrees. It was a Saturday night & very busy, so I was patient at first, until I noticed that a table right next to us, who placed their order after us, received their entrees. When I asked for an update on our order (this was about 30 minutes after we ordered), she blamed it on the kitchen. Please keep in mind, that I only ordered a Buffalo Chicken Salad & my wife ordered the Street Corn Salad. However, her excuse was inexcusable. She said the reason my salad was delayed was because they had to cook more chicken tenders & my wife's salad was delayed because of the street corn. I guess the look on my face made it very clear that I wasn't buying her bullshit. If there's one thing I don't appreciate is when someone tries to mistaken me for a fool. It was obvious that she failed to put in our orders and if she had apologized and had been honest about it, then it wouldn't have been so bad. Considering, after I brought it to her attention, close to 15 minutes later the orders came out. HOWEVER, after a total of approximately 45 minutes of waiting for two salads, my salad still came out wrong! Thus, the chicken tenders that supposedly took 45 minutes to cook, were not tossed in a buffalo sauce, (the sauce was on the side). Which means, she misconstrued me asking for the salad dressing on the side, for the buffalo sauce on the side. Even with this screw up, she still was not done trying to make an excuse! This was by far the worst dining experience I have had in quite sometime. With this monumental screw up, I still left her an 18% tip. However, here's my tip to management, please tell Naly or any other waitress for that matter, to stop trying to bullshit customer's and simply own up to...
Read moreWe decided to check out the new Twin Peaks in Brandon even though we’d seen some mixed reviews online — we always like to give places a fair shot. Walking in, the atmosphere was fun, the place was clean, and the bus staff did a great job keeping everything looking good.
The girls were dressed in the typical Twin Peaks style and it was freezing inside, but that’s part of the experience so no surprise there.
We sat down and noticed our server had a birthday sash on, which we thought was fun — we didn’t mind that she might be celebrating a little. We ordered an appetizer, a beer, and decided to split a burger while we looked over the bourbon menu. The food was actually really good — fresh and came out quickly.
Just a heads-up for anyone going: the paper bourbon menu on the table only lists their high-end bourbons. They actually have more affordable options on their digital menu, but no one told us that.
Where it went a little sideways was the service after we ordered. Another runner brought out both our appetizer and our burger because our server was busy at another table having what looked like a birthday drink with some guys (the bright blue drink made that pretty obvious). We figured she’d come back once we were eating, but she never checked on us — no “How’s everything?” or “Want another round?” Instead, we noticed she was checking in regularly on bigger parties that were ordering more.
It honestly felt like she assumed we were a “small table” and just wanted us out, when in reality we were planning to stay, try more food, and order a couple of the bourbons too. She ended up dropping off our check without asking if we needed anything else. We always tip at least 20% and were ready to go higher because it was her birthday — but she didn’t give us the chance.
So what looked like a cheap tab splitting food would have turned into a bigger bill and a bigger tip.
Overall, the place itself has a lot of potential: it’s clean, the vibe is fun, and the food was good. The service just needs some fine-tuning — not judging a table by what they order right away would...
Read moreWe got to the establishment and were seated right away. Somewhat busy but plenty of open tables for a Saturday night at around 9:20. About 15 minutes later we are finally greeted by a waitress asking if we’d been helped or had been given menus etc. Brianna did a great job from there taking our order and keeping our drinks full. Despite constant updates and apologies from Brianna our mom’s pot roast didn’t arrive until about an hour later(not her fault). My roast was at least 50% gristle/fat, potatoes looked like they had been on the plate the hour we waited and green beans looked cold so I returned the food and didn’t desire anything else. My date ate hers but her side dishes looked the same, but the meat was a bit better, despite her showing how dry it was. Check came and I decided to ask to talk to the manager just to put it on the radar. Brianna returned and stated one manager said he wouldn’t meet with us and the other said we would have to come in if we wanted to talk to him. I was honestly kind of surprised no one came when I returned my food as that’s normally pretty customary at most dine in places of a decent caliber like most Twin Peeks are. We waited about 10-15 minutes after letting her know we wouldn’t be remitting payment until speaking with someone and decided to give in and go inside to talk to whomever. Our waitress saw us at the hostess area and seemed shocked he hadn’t came to us but flagged him down. To his credit, he looked like he was running food despite how we noticed 1 waitress near our table just hanging out at a table talking and talking with a guy for almost our entire dining visit. Also to his credit, he comped the other dinner. Also to his credit, he at least gave us a little bit of time unlike whomever the other manager was who told Brianna he wouldn’t even meet with us. We’ve never been to this location and I hate it was a horrible experience. Final note, we love Twin Peaks of Lakeland and Lake Buena Vista as we have had countless amazing...
