The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I work in the hotel industry so I’m very upset that there was zero profession. I had stayed here with two other friends for two nights. Decided to extend after the first night, around checkout time, I go downstairs ask to extend. The lady extends my room, everything good right? Nope. Apparently not. We came to our key not working(sign that it’s been clean to rent) and the room is completely clean and emptied without our things. I thought “that’s fine, mistake like these happen, front desk and housekeeping sometimes miscommunicate.” I explained to the night front desk what happened and zero help from her. She explained that she doesn’t have any information about our things but somehow my room is still extend. I thought this was strange, protocol on my hotel is putting every item left behind in a plastic garbage bag, and contact or wait for contact on our guest, if not destroy it after couple months. I thought here maybe day and night shift are not communicating, night shift was just clueless, or the other case, the cleaning lady or workers of home2suites pocketed our items, our expensive items. I waited until the next morning, and they could only locate one item, that was destroyed by the washing machine. An collector’s sweater retailed around 350$ was washed with other sheets in bleach. Why on earth is a sweater being washed in a machine intended for white sheets, it’s not only not sanitary, it not suppose to be washed that manner. But regardless, very happy to see it. But the other things, gone. How can only one of our item show up? Who picked up the AirPods, the bottles of sealed alcohol, the iPhone chargers..?? Quite strange. When I talked to the manager, he said his cleaning lady didn’t have anything and didn’t know anything. Who else cleaned the room then?this manager was less then helpful, did not want to refund the night either for our inconvenience, and rather cover a thief that works for his hotel. He wouldnt even slightly admit to the idea that maybe his cleaner stole. Check your cameras, I told him, who knows if he wants to. His profession is disgusting and rather cover for his associates then a customer that paid full and came out paying more due to stealing in his hotel. Only came to write this review not to blast the manager(I don’t even want him to contact me, not like he will do anything either), but to warn anyone that may leave their valuable here, go somewhere else, and for his director to see how he manages business. My friends and I saved up money for a trip to Tampa, ended up leaving with less money and less things and without an apologize. Lack of professionalism and lack of security. This happened March 12-13 2021. The only Home2suites by a Carvana in Tampa, email has the same address. This review belongs to this hotel 100 percent. And if I contact the manager what will he do? He didn’t even want to refund me the nights then. I was told by the manager I should call the cops to get my things back, you should look into your cleaners. “ We’ve spoken with all the male managers at the Home2 Brandon/Tampa and we are not familiar with your situation.” There only one male manager that I spoke to, the rest were female associate or male maintenance. Donald was the only male manager, and quite weird that he doesn’t remember this. I do remember talking with him and bickering because he...
Read moreWe stayed here during a relocation move. We had our emotional support cat for my Autistic daughter and there were five of us. The staff was very supportive and accommodating. Every morning the staff would be out and about hanging and talking with the Customers, making them laugh and smile.
However we stayed for a week and a half and even when we removed the DND sign from our door, took our cat for the day, and requested room service, housekeeping only made our beds, sprayed air freshener in the room, and maybe vacuumed. They didn’t leave towels, wash the bathroom or kitchen down, or give us new sheets. I’ve hired housekeepers for my own home and they did more!
Breakfast bar was typical but did not offer a lot of options. Standard fruit, cereal, oatmeal, whole grain waffles, and pre made wrapped omelets you were instructed to put in the microwave to heat on a specific setting. Plus it did not stay open past 9:00am so if you were not up between 6am-8:30am you were out of luck. Not very accommodating for families with Autistic kids who are picky eaters or on strict diets, but that’s what we get for free and there were restaurant options all around.
My biggest gripe was that we wanted to sit out next to the beautiful center fire pit or out on the patio next to the pool but they catered to smokers, there were ash trays on every table and smokers sporadically sat around the area. I wish they had an area for non smokers too.
Overall 3.5 stars good and would recommend! Staff was really what...
Read moreWe recently stayed at this property for eight nights with our family of five and a dog. Overall, we had a really positive experience! The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and well appointed. The room size was large and comfortable for a our family during our stay. We also found the hotel very quiet even with lots of guests and dogs staying there. The breakfast every morning was also really nice.
The only thing I'd say could use a bit of improvement were some of the amenities. Because of Covid, the room cleaning doesn't happen daily. We had scheduled it for midway through and they didn't come, so we had to ask them again and they came the next day. We did run out of toilet paper and needed new towels more frequently, but when we asked, they were happy to oblige. The cookware in the room was very limited and were missing things like there were only 3 forks and 2 knives. The bedding was also less than desirable. It seemed like they were using a bedskirt as the main blanket which was odd. We had to ask for more bedding for the pull out couch. The final thing was that during our stay, one of the two dryers were broken - leaving only one dryer for the whole hotel to use. There didn't seem to be any attempts to get a technician to fix it so there was often time long waits to dry our clothing.
But other than those amenities we really did enjoy our time and would absolutely...
