Having been displaced by hurricane Helen and hurricane Milton, I am trying to coordinate residential repairs while staying in a motel with no fridge or kitchenette or anyway to go food thus I googled the hours of the State Road 64) IHOP in Bradenton, Florida and everywhere I pulled it up. It said it was 24 hour location (So was the one on 14th St. in Bradenton ) Was confirmation and a very empty stomach I permitted myself to get excited about the menu, and my son wasVery excited to have some pancakes. As we walked in, we could see there was two tables that had patrons seated however, the front of the house employee was in the far back of the store, rolling silverware and just shouted at us. I think we’re closed to the kitchen and back of the house associate came Out from behind a wall and started walking towards us and apologetically, saying that they were closed the reinforcing what the server/host just said to us when I questioned this and mentioned that I looked up the Hours of operation for this specific location it said 24 hour location and the back of the house employee rebutted with no that’s the other location in Bradenton. We’re not 24 hours. If that’s the case, why does the inter webs say that this location and establishment is a 24 hour location. This is a couple of days ago this happened just now. I tried to call to see if they’re open and nobody answered. I am in Seema Assistant temporary residence. I don’t like Wendy’s. I’ve had enough McDonald’s. It’s the closest area after Cracker Barrel that is nearly a home-cooked meal. I hope they’ll be open. If not, I will either edit this or provide a new review to let you know very disappointing. Options are minimal to get out that far east And seeing how funds are low due to what comes with dealing with two major hurricanes in less than two weeks, I was looking forward to having some real food. As far as the selection below that I need to choose from whether I dined in or dine out or just carry out, What did I get? It cost per person to eat, As well as recommended dishes and any other topics to cover there is nothing in those follow up selections that are applicable to this. Very disappointing headed there now because I didn’t answer the phone. Hope this will go round...
Read moreWalked into this restaurant with family from out of town and was treated poorly. Was on my phone and was told by the waiter Moses that my phone was too loud while the customers were louder including Moses at the table behind us. I did tell him a few things and seemed he did not like what I had to say. He brought everyone’s food and brought mine about 20 minutes later on dirty dishes mind you my order was the simplest, a salad with a side of cheesey grits. He also gave me a hard time on giving me ranch telling me that if I wanted anymore that I would have to pay when he brought me one little to go halfway with ranch when the ranch is supposed to be served in a saucer. He also stated that the owner did not like to waist food which is why he couldn’t give more. Eventually he brought me more after more arguing. My experience at this location was horrible, I was never treated this way at any ihop and am really thinking not returning to any other one. I called the next day to speak with a manager and guess who answers the phone, yes, Moses lol. He tells me there were no managers in the store and that he does not know when there will be one so I called corporate and went that route. I was told I would get a phone call within that day or the next day the latest. I finally got a very vague and unapologetic call today by the manager. The phone call was very un comforting and sounded as if he was mad because I called corporate. He did not talk about the situation and felt like he did not want to hear it also. He did not introduce himself when he called than when I asked who it was he than said that he’s from ihop and that he was calling to apologize all angry like and stayed quiet as if that’s all he needed to do. He did not talk the situation with me nor did he try to make things right. Very disappointed at this location along with its staff. Moses must have worked for a library in the past or is his dream job to go around trying to quiet families at tables lol. He really is unfit for this job. Come to this location at your own risk my friends, I doubt it will be a pleasant visit! Attached are photos of where you can see the dishes are dirty. Unsanitary environment and was not very clean...
Read moreI'm an Uber driver, and at 3am Sunday 6/17/18 I came to pick up an order, but the food is not part of this review.
While there, a small line formed waiting to either pick up or be seated. I was in line, meanwhile a middle aged, white haired man with a goatee and his wife sat down at the waiting bench. After about 5 minutes he yells "Y'all need more servers, YOU GUYS SUCK!". As a former aervser employee, I knew that the staff couldn't give this man a piece of their mind, but I sure as hell could! Noticing the absolute shock of the customers, I retaliated and(outside of the restaurant) I confronted him, explaining that he was being a total d-bag. He asked "what do these people mean to you?" Well, frankly, I don't know these people, but I feel their pain. I've worked for 4 years in the food industry and in fact, I remembered this man. He had terrorized the Subway within the Walmart on W Brandon Blvd too! Eventually the guy left with his ugly wife in tow. Upon re-entering the restaurant I promptly received my pickup order, and was on my way. My praise comes here, this staff had every right to lash out at this man for his horrid sense of entitlement, his horrible treatment of the staff and for upsetting their customers, but they didn't. This staff was extremely polite, especially the matre'd and Michael (I think that was his name, an African American man with a small, well groomed afro?). I'm impressed by this staff and as a lifetime resident of Valrico, they will be getting my business for a long...
