Yesteryear's Treasures & Antiques Flea Market — Local services in Branson

I’m using three as ‘average, not bad’ as this is a nice flea market/vintage market. Not overwhelming and a decent amount of ‘not reselling cheap stuff bought online.’ I walked out with some items at good prices.

That said, there was a booth marked ‘everything $1.25 or under.’ There were some things I wanted which were being used for display. I looked all over for ‘nfs/not for sale’ tags before emptying them. In fact, there were $1.25 tags in them which I originally thought had fallen off other items… but they were stuck so I decided they belonged to the containers. Other containers DID say ‘not for sale.’ Thus, I assumed these were for sale.

Imagine my frustration and embarrassment to get up to the register in front of other customers to find out they were not for sale. I was assured other people had also brought them up to buy and the vendor had been told to mark them ‘not for sale.’ The people at the register were extremely nice about it. Still, why were the items not marked NFS with the sign saying “everything $1.25 and under?”

Please visit this place but don’t necessarily trust what the booth signs say. Such markets often have ‘too good to be true items,’ so you just have to ask a busy staff member.

I do want to stress how well everything was handled. Kind people!...

I can't stand it when a business charges a surcharge for me using my card . Bad business ! Do better!! If your a business owner YOU need to accept the charge by the credit card company and NOT the customer. I used to run my own business as I know how much you get charged by the credit card company . You're making an extra profit by charging the customer and thats wrong and you're running a scam . It's 2024...
