This attraction is NOT your normal escape room. It is much closer to a high-end theme park attraction (such as Universal Orlando’s Great Movie Escape) than it is what you have likely experienced elsewhere.
Instead of the homemade “sorta decorated” puzzle rooms we are mostly used to (and Branson is full of), this place feels more like movie sets.
Instead of just looking for a bunch of three digit codes to unlock padlocks for an hour, the Masters of Escape system is far more sophisticated. Theatrical lighting, sound effects, background music and more elevate this experience far beyond what we expected.
We did the Chocolate Factory and encountered physical prop puzzles as well as a unique one that involved identifying candy smells 😉 Their computer system triggered sounds and effects during the gameplay, and even offered slight hints from time to time. Best of all, unlike Universal’s, you aren’t forced from room to room if you cannot figure things out quickly (Universal has another group coming right behind you so their’s flows more like a walk through attraction than a real escape room). We did not win this room, but enjoyed it so much we plan to re-visit this room and try to complete it our next visit.
Super high quality. Super friendly and professional staff. Incredible attention to detail. And, if you have any kind of appreciation for show design, you will really appreciate this...
Read moreUpdate: the company reached out to resolve my disatisfaction. They took care of me...more than is necessary. Due to a great response and clearly caring about how their customers feel, I'm raising my rating to 4 stars. I am keeping my initial review posted, as I still believe the information is correct.
Initial Review: I've done 60+ escape rooms and this one is mid for me. They do have good, tech-based puzzles. The problem is that there are not very many of them. We did Wizard of Oz, which is described as medium difficulty. After getting stuck by a tech-specific element in the first room, I thought we were struggling. We still finished with over 20 minutes left. I walked out thinking, "that's it?" I would hate to see what the low difficulty room is like.
Another matter, which doesn't factor into my rating but is good to know...they charge a ridiculous booking fee. For three people, it should have been $120. When they told me my total of $142, I was shocked. It was $22 in taxes and a booking fee. And...I didn't even book ahead of time. I was a walk in. I guess the booking fee is for them allowing me to play?
I love escape rooms, but a high-priced room that's light on puzzles just isn't worth it. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to try any of their...
Read moreRe: Birdly VR Flying ONLY I'll start by saying staff is very friendly and attentive. The place is very nice...and for yonger people the Birdly VR Flying experience might be ok. My husband and I are 57 and 62, respectively. We tried Birdly yesterday and, for us, it was a total waste of money. The machine you lie on is very uncomfortable and in order to "fly" you have to "flap your wings". The platform on which you lay your arms must be moved up and down as if you're flapping, and it hasr resistance, so it is very hard on the upper back and shoulders....and this is coming from 2 very active seniors. The scene I chose was Zurich and it was not as advertised at all. I pointed that out and showed the manager what it was advertised as, but no refund or other experience was offered. My husband didn't even complete his due to the difficulty of "flapping, still, no refund offered. Overall we were very disappointed with the whole experience. The buildings in the VR scenes look okay but the trees, water, and cars look totally computer generated. We are open to possibly trying an escape room in the future but will never waste money on the Birdly...
