We have been coming here since they opened, unfortunately this place has done nothing but go down hill.
Today is the last time. We ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl for our kids, which had 3 tiny pieces of sliced chicken. When I tried to get a servers attention, she looked at me and walked past me. A man from the kitchen came out, made eye contact and told the same server I needed help. She tells him "that's the other servers table" and walks away.
I've worked in the food and beverage industry basically since a child, having grown up with a mom who ran restaurants. Every table is your guest, that is what I have been taught, you never ignore a guest, it doesn't matter whose table it is.
The food as not worth what I paid, as a server I work hard for my money, working in a busy restaurant is hard on the body. I work hard to ensure my customers are happy, enjoy their meals, and enjoyed the service. If a guest is displeased, I am happy to fix it, they don't care to hear excuses, they don't care if a cook is new, they don't care who is to blame, they just want a well cooked meal and are paying for someone else to do the cooking for them. After all they decided to come spend the money they worked for at my place of employment and I server each guest with a since of pride and attentively, because I want a good tip, shoot i want an awesome tip and I know my service has a hell of a lot to do with if that happens or not. My tips pay my bills, my customers are who feed my children. My customers should always leave happy and full. If they didn't, well, I didn't do my job well.
Tonight, I left this establishment regretting having went, regretting spending my money on poorly prepared food, and received service that made me feel I would have been better off cooking for myself and my kids.
To go out to eat in today's economy is a treat, and establishments need to understand that and train employees with that understanding, otherwise people will stop coming. That place was a ghost town on a Friday night, looking back that should have been my clue.
My son used to love coming here, but even my 14 yr old was displeased with the food.
So all in all, the food has gone down hill, the servers dont care, and management needs to retrain or clean house. Save your time, and your money, go elsewhere, get better service and better food, we won't be back and definitely won't be recommending anyone else to go...
Read moreSat down and waited for my company to arrive everything appeared to be alright. She was about 10 minutes behind me so I ordered some Sake and dumplings in the meantime. Heard some commotion in the back and thought nothing of it. Company arrives and server immediately has an attitude about us putting an order in pronto(didnt close for another hour). More commotion from the kitchen which I can overhear because my booth was right next to the door. Cook is throwing a tantrum because our table has not placed an order yet(the other guest had just arrived minutes prior). Server proceeds to start with an attitude towards us and when I confront her about it she says the cook is having a connipition in the back. Mind you none of the other tables have received this level of treatment(even the table that sat after we did). I informed her we would need more time to decide and as she leaves our table(not even off the floor yet) yells back to the kitchen that we aren't ready and doesn't know what our problem is. She then proceeds to stop by the table every 2 minutes with an increase in attitude toward us. Tensions became to much to bear, how am I supposed to enjoy a meal with the Cook cussing out our table and the server being rude. After I told her we would be leaving do I get the "nice" sever treatment. Super upset to have even left my house today for such a terrible experience. I have frequented this establishment for almost 2 years and I doubt I will waste my hard earned money there ever again and I caution anyone who is wanting to try this restaurant in the future. Better to go to momo's, unfortunately it is the same owners, the customer service was much nicer and I didn't hear the cooks curse once. Ownership should check in on this problem and I will no longer be giving recommendations...
Read moreFood is good, kid friendly, staff is awesome, prices are reasonable, atmosphere and environment are clean, mellow, and inviting. I recommend this place if you feel like Noodles or some simple sushi.
Some things I noticed. The spicy tonkatsu ramen is very mild. You can enjoy this even if you’re not into spicy stuff. It’s basically the Tonkatsu ramen and you get a side of some kind of chili paste control your level of spice. I added the whole side and it was still very manageable. More like a warming sensation rather than spicy burning. If you’re into spice, this may not be what you’re looking for, they have other options that are more spicy. Miso and Tonkatsu ramen have a very nice mellow flavor. Flavors aren’t overly strong or in your face. It’s simple and easy to savor without getting flavor fatigue. The sushi options offered are simple and basic, but they’re well done. Family loved it. They’re worth it.
I rate it 4.5 stars. What could it do to get that other .5 star? Well the egg that comes with your ramen isn’t really an “onsen egg” it’s hard boiled not soft boiled and jammy. If you’re expecting the egg to be marinated, it is not, it’s just a hard boiled egg. Those 2 things could be better, but aren’t overly serious. There’s also no “mayu” for the Tonkatsu ramen. That could take it up a notch. “Mayu”(Garlic oil) or chili garlic oil really adds a wonderful smell and depth of flavor to the Tonkatsu ramen. These suggestions are all just touch ups to what the restaurant already offers, which is why it’s only .5 stars.
I wish this place success in its endeavors. It would be a nice place to return to when I’m on...
