I had an experience that is uncalled for. I have been going to the Puppy Pantry for almost 2 years now. I never have had an issue. They had a GREAT groomer, Lori. She treated my dog like her own. They were very good about calling and giving my updates.
I went last week and found out that Lori had left and they had a new groomer. I went a head and scheduled an appointment for my dog to go to the new groomer. I dropped him off 15 minutes before his appointment. In the past, he was done after 3 hours. 3 1/2 hours, I did not hear from anyone. I called to check, the receptionist (Which the store is closed so she was not busy) was rude and said that it would be a hour. When she told me that it would be a hour, she made it sound like my dog was not important. I DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN, MY DOG IS MY CHILD. I waited a hour and a half, HEARD NOTHING. Called again, and she said another hour. I finally asked if they had even started him. The receptionist said NO... AFTER 5 HOURS WHY HAS HE NOT STARTED?! I was so mad, I went and picked him up and WILL NEVER GO BACK!!
If you have an appointment, they should have started grooming him closer to his scheduled appointment.
When I picked him up, they mentioned that they had a Bishon. and apparently Bishons take a long time to groom?! IF YOU HAVE A DOG THAT YOU KNOW WILL TAKE A LONG TIME communicate and tell your customers OR don't schedule so many dogs.

The young lady at the registered did speak, but I was very confused on the process for my dog getting a haircut. I asked her what kind of haircut my dog would be getting and she’s told me to hold on let me go get the “lady” I was like what lady? She was talking about the groomer. When the groomer came out she was not polite she said “yes”. I asked her what type of haircuts she offered and she said what kind of haircut do you want for your dog? This was going to be my dogs second haircut only he’s only eight months old. As I was explaining to her what I wanted for him and she looked at him and said, I might have to shave his hair off it’s matted. My dogs hair was not matted. I felt that was rude I told her his hair was not matted she continued to argue with me. I told her do not shave my dogs hair off I will leave and go somewhere else. She said I will give him a bath and decide if I need to shave his hair. I said no you will not , you can give him a bath and if you feel you need to shave his hair off call me and I will come get him. I was so nervous to leave my dog at the groomer. Read morePretty disappointed. Called to see if they had the raw food our dog has been eating, decided to drive 1 hour to buy a different flavor and let him try it. Pulled it out of the freezer and it had an expiration date of August 10, 2022. Today is November 5, 2022.
Set it on the counter and look around. Come back and the expiration sticker was ripped off by the lady working. I ask her if she can give us a discount since it was expired. She then refused to sell us the dog food and said it would be "donated".
If this store wasn't a hour away, I'd love to come back in a few days from now and see if the box of Answers Duck patties are back in the freezer with a new expiration date. Seems shady and a bad way to run a business. If something is expired, it should be removed from the shelf or sold at a discounted rate.
The gal even placed our name on the box to put it on hold and never looked at the expiration date knowing we were a hour away. A waste of time and fuel on our part.
Thankfully Earthwise Pet in Buford was able to sell us some food for our dog and ended up giving us a 40% discount on our whole transaction because 1 of the boxes of food expires in January of 2023.
