I strongly do not recommend the Surgical Technician program at this school. If you are considering enrolling in this program I strongly advise you to ask the person in charge the following questions: 1. How many students were initially enrolled in this program for the last two or three terms? 2. How many of those initially enrolled students completed the program and graduated? 3. How many of those initially enrolled were put on academic probation and then withdrew? 4. How many had an internship and successfully finished it? Two or three years of data will reveal a trend. This program has a graduation problem, which leads back to program development and instruction, and assessments. Excellent instruction centers on instruction, assessment, and reteaching, which can be online modules, and then reassessment to ensure learning. Yes, this can be accomplished in a fast based program. Stating to students that their fast paced program is perhaps not for them places all fault on the students and is unacceptable. One must look at program development and revision. One must ask not if the majority of enrolled students are the right fit for their fast based program, but if their program needs review and revision. Do your investigation...
Read moreDO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL!!!!! I paid for my daughter to do the 10 week dental assisting class and she wasn’t taught everything she should have been taught …let me explain After the first week of school the building flooded so they moved to another building well the teacher didn’t bother to take her props and equipment she needed for the students to use so therefore some of the information the class needed to learn was NOT TAUGHT !!!!! So when my daughter goes on interviews and they ask her questions about certain things she SHOULD KNOW she doesn’t cause her well loved teacher by the owners of this school didn’t teach her ! Although the school did offer a one on one class for my daughter on the things she WAS NOT taught it’s a little to late since she’s applied for over 100 dental jobs and still can’t get hired. There’s no dental offices left unless she drives over and hour to apply at … And some of the dentist offices she’s went to interviews at have never heard of this school. I can say that one of the owners was nice until the end when I let her know I would give her school a review 🙄 PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH !!!!!!!! This was a waste of time and definitely a waste...
Read moreIf you are considering the Surgical Tech Program, MING is the place to go. You won't regret it. I am a recently graduated student from the 8 month Surgical Technologies program at MING. I can't say enough good things about the school. Let me start by saying, the instructors are phenomenal. Tiffany, Tosha and now Robin, are instructors for the program. These wonderful people are previous Surgical Techs and bring all of their knowledge to the table. Their compassion for students is unprecedented. It's not often you find instructors who are passionate about the field and success of students. To see a student succeed is their reward. Not once has there been a time that Tiffany or Tosha did not go above their limits to help me. When I had personal issues or school related issues that knocked me down, they were always there with a hand out to help me back up. The treatment you get at MING surpasses anything a student might experience in other college settings, of which I've had my share of those experiences as well. It is worth the hardwork and dedication. This will be the rest of your life and if you want it, these beautiful women will get you there. Good luck to...
