If you are a military family, or any family hoping to make lasting memories for your kids, this is not the place for you. My husband has missed the last four years of our son’s birthdays and has never been home for our daughter’s. This was supposed to be our first chance to finally celebrate together—but instead of joy, we were left with memories of fear, hostility, and anger.
Three hours before our party, I got a call from the owner. She admitted she had “verbally agreed” to let the party before ours stay as long as they wanted and forgot about our booking. She said hopefully they would leave by 5:00 and that we could begin setting up at 5:30—when our event was scheduled to start. Her “solution” was that our guests could wait in the parking lot while she set up activities. We had booked a blacklight dance party, not a windy, outdoor “parking lot” party. When we arrived, the only thing outside was a flimsy tent that looked unsafe and a bird in a cage—no activities. At 5:00, the prior party still hadn’t left. When I pointed out that we should have been setting up already, the owner screamed at me and said, “That’s it, I’m canceling. You all are ridiculous, I’m doing everything I can.” I couldn’t believe it—what kind of person threatens to cancel a child’s birthday party over her own scheduling mistake?
We eventually got inside, but the hostility didn’t stop. When we asked about starting the face painting, we were threatened again with being kicked out—25 children and two birthday kids in tears. I spent the rest of the night in a state of anxiety, worrying that at any moment she would follow through and ruin the party.
She didn’t charge us beyond the deposit, which I appreciated, but no parent should ever have to experience the fear of their children’s special day being ruined by someone so unprofessional and hostile. To make matters worse, her bird bit my son.
This was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration for our family. Instead, the only thing we’ll remember is the owner screaming, threatening, and turning what should have been joyful into stressful and frightening. I would never recommend this venue or its owner to any family, especially those...
Read moreI had a bad feeling about this place but my kid assured me everything was going to be fine for their wedding. The other reviews were so good! I sent the host a message asking if they could send me more information about their parties and their response was they won't have as much information as I'm looking for.
Ceremony was scheduled for 2. They asked us to be there at 1. At 2:30 they still weren't ready. Music was supposed to be provided but when we got there we were told they didn't know they needed to provide it. We told them we would supply our own food, but they convinced my kid to let them do it. They served frozen, boxed lasagna. The food was served cold and the drinks were warm. It was also supposed to be a black light party but there were only a couple black lights and it was just too dark to see anything.
The worst parts were that she said the wrong name, twice, during the ceremony. We can't even send the videos we took to family because of it. My kid also forgot the rings and she made the biggest deal about that and made a comment "I know I said the bride's name wrong twice, but YOU forgot the rings!" She didn't say the vows they provided. Photos were also included but she sent us 13 photos with a few of them being duplicates and blurry. She still charged them $50 more than what she quoted....
Read moreWe booked a Plushie Pal party for my son's 3rd birthday, and we had the best time! Not only was it fun, for adults and the kids, but it was also super reasonably priced. BJ provides and sets up all the decorations (based on the theme you want!), food platters, table cloths, plates, etc. so we saved so much money there. All we brought was some food and drinks, the cake, candles, and ourselves! Very stress free for me. Each kiddo that came got a plushie, just like a build a bear, even my adult sister and her friend made one. They all got to choose what they wanted from a wide variety of plushies, saw it get stuffed, made a wish on a heart, and got a little backpack for their new stuffie. We added on that the kids could pick an outfit too (again, a wide variety of options)! BJ was so great with the kids, making sure they each had fun during their turn. She has a great set up with toys and dress up stuff for the kids to play with during the 2 hour party window. The 30 min set up before and clean up after was more than enough since she had everything basically set up anyway. She is very transparent about pricing, no hidden fees or anything. BJ is very responsive to emails and texts regarding your party too. I would recommend Moments to anyone who wants a party venue! Next party we do, we will go...
