J.W. Renfroe Pecan Co. — Local services in Brent

Placed an online order 12/10/20. A few days went by and I had not received the tracking number so I called. I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes while it was looked into only to be told that there was a glitch in their system for the 12/10 orders, which I understand, computers have glitches. I was told they have my order and are processing. A couple more days go by, again no tracking number received, called again, placed on hold again. The lady indicated that 2 of the items I ordered were not available, I said that's fine just refund me. Then I get another email that I was refunded for more items! When I placed the order NOTHING indicated that they were out of stock. So now of the 8 items I ordered the Christmas gift to my parents will only have 3 items and I don't know if it's been shipped yet. I emailed back advising of how upset I am and asked if the 3 items at least have been shipped. No response and the email was sent over 5 hours ago!!!!!!!!! Very poor communication. I will not order from...

Neat little gift shop. We have heard my parents talk about if for years but we must have hit it on a bad day. The guys working the register was not friendly or professional. There was another employee working at the fudge/ dessert counter and she was friendly but did not make up for the unwelcome experience we had with the cashier. We came in to get pecans and have them cracked, he didn’t bother letting us know that we couldn’t get them cracked until after bagging two bags fulls. They poured the coffee out without asking if we would like any & practicality ran us out of the place. I made some gift purchases which I sort of regret making after being treated this way and I’m not sure I would want to return even though it has nice items for decor and gifts and had a nice selection of everything with pecans....

My wife and I went in to buy 10#s of pecans like we do every few years. I asked the guy about cracking them. He said with a snear, "we quit cracking them when Mr Renfroe retired" It was like he couldn't wait for him to retire, no more cracking mofo. Somehow he ended a life threatening situation, made the world a better place to live. My wife and I are seniors and we have arthritis in our hands, need I say more? The big perk of buying them there was getting them cracked. We'll buy them in our own town from now on. I know they won't miss our business. I'm just tired of things not being the way they used to be, good business practices are becoming a faint...
