It is with a heavy heart that I leave my first negative review. I didn't want it to come to this, really, I didn't. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I know all the reviews here said the same thing: that the employees are rude and slow, and that the service is subpar.
But I believe in the goodness of people and didn't want the negative reviewers to dissuade me too much. So, when I went to the land of chicken, I was open-minded, albeit slightly guarded.
Turns out my worst nightmare came to fruition. Upon ordering my items at the drive-thru speaker box, I was informed they had no more regular chicken drumsticks and only had spicy ones. Now I don't want to point fingers, but my intuition tells me they just didn't want to cook any for me.
This type of business model might explain why there was no one there at dinner time on a Friday evening. Regardless, I ordered pretty much what they wanted me to, as I didn't even get the Mac n Cheese that I was looking forward to the most.
Upon receiving my confections, the woman at the window took my money and handed me my food without any communication. It was as if Popeye himself used his canned spinach strength to choke the life out of this drive-thru employee.
What have they done to you, employees of Popeyes? You can tell me, I won't hurt you. I know you won't come to trust me quickly, but I think over time we might have a meaningful relationship, you and I. Maybe I'll take you on a walk down by the beach and stare into the sunset as I comb that little straggly strand of hair behind your ear and kiss you ever so tenderly. I'll whisper to you "I don't care how successful Chick-Fil-A and KFC are, you're the only one for me."
But I'm not ready yet...Maybe one day...But not today...
Although I didn't get the food I came there for, I was content in the spicy wings, biscuit, and mashed potatoes. Even though they didn't give me any plasticware for the mashed potatoes.
So now I must do what's never been done before. Leave a 3-star review. This reminds me of the wise words of one of our modern minstrels...

Read moreThe food was hot and fresh. Unlike the Church's that I normally go to, this place filled my mash potatoes container with a little extra potato when I asked for no gravy.
Issues I had: multiple people who ordered after me got their orders before me and all I ordered was a two piece dark meal with the aforementioned mash potatoes. Everything needed for my food was there and didn't need to be cooked.
When I brought up having been forgotten and showed my receipt, the manager looked very annoyed at me. Then my dine in order was packed up to go in a rush when my receipt clearly said eat in and others were getting trays and dine in baskets. This may seem minor, but it does make an ease of dining difference and something to note in the way of attention to detail.
Next when I went to get napkins from the dispenser there were none and it had been empty for a while. Others had been asking th manager for napkins directly for a while too so it's not like the issue was unknown. When I went back to ask for napkins I was again given an annoyed look.
If you, as a manager, are annoyed by doing basic customer service in a fast food restaurant, maybe you shouldn't be a manager.
Lastly, the dining area was not clean. It wasn't gross, but there were two tables left with food grease and bits on them and the floor area next to them and on their seats and napkins left on the table.
The only counter balancing factor to give this a 3 and not less is the fact that it was during lunch somewhere around 12:30. Can't expect things to be perfect, but the above is unfortunate and still colors my impression...
Read moreI arrived in drive thru and asked a question. A female replied "Umm I don't know hold on and let me find out " No Problem. I'm in my Uniform and headed into work so after a long enough wait I spoke into the speaker, "Don't worry about it I'll just get the Nuggets." I was told to hold on. I assumed something major was going on like changing of a drawer or something so I PAUSED. Still waiting and I spoke again to say I'm just going to get nuggets. Again I'm told to hold on. Normally I would've left by now but I'm going in for a 12hr shift and need food. Finally someone comes on and says, "Go ahead with your order." Uh I really thought after all that they would have a answer for me but apparently not. There was NO ONE waiting in drive thru except a car pulled up waiting for food. Drive Thru appearance looked like a dump through the window. The young man who gave me my order didn't hand me, Napkins, utensils, Straws and I had to ask for sauce! I had to turn back around for these things. I'm still confused why it took him almost 5 mins holding onto my Credit Card. I seriously checked my receipt before I left the parking lot. The food was hot but the taste of the chicken nuggets was like biting into balls of Fat! I will never order the nuggets again. I ate my biscuit and served my...
