This is "loss prevention" at this fine establishment. He mistakenly accused my husband of stealing, and had the cops waiting outside. Upon confronting him, and finding absolutely nothing that had not been paid for on my husband, and making at the time 4 year old son cry to the point that a manager had to be called, informed of the situation and the manager on duty that day had some sense of decency. Since loss prevention could not own up to the fact that he wrongly accused someone of stealing, he thought it was a wiser choice to occupy the police officers time, which I am positive would have been far more useful doing their actual job, rather than sitting in a parking lot waiting around for nothing, as well as scare our son, watch him cry, and detain someone who's apparent crime that day was wearing a rain coat. As previously stated the manager in duty that day could clearly see that the situation was not only and injustice, it was an injustice caused by someone who was put in a position meant to protect the assets of the Walmart corporation. After months of being followed around the store everytime my husband goes shopping, and then pays for the items that he leaves the store with, my extremely patient husband had enough when we went there today, to purchase a $400 power wheel toy for our son's birthday. Now I'm not entirely sure what this person, whom I refuse to refer to as a man, was thinking, possibly that the three of us were planning on dismantling a 50lb toy and carrying it out of the store in pieces, or possibly we were going to simply pick the entire cannon up and waltz out of the store and hope no one noticed. My husband looked at me and said, okay I've had enough, that's him, right over there once again watching my every move. I'm going to take a picture of him, this has to stop. No more than 30 seconds later I see him being escorted out of the store, he apologized and said he had to leave. Loss prevention called the cops and said my husband was trespassing. The manager in duty today, Donna, literally said that the cops had been called so there was nothing she could do. They banned my husband from the store for life. Bravo Walmart, you made a little boy not only cry, as well as not get his birthday present as this was unfortunately the only walmart within a hundred miles radius that still had one in stock, you also made a 5 year old boy say " I thought the police were supposed to help you, not be mean at my daddy I neber call them if I in trouble, they bad men, are they taking daddy away? I don't need any presents" , as he was crying, on his birthday. Please share this post as many times as possible, because we need our son to not be afraid of the police, who's only wr, we will never return to this or any other Walmart ever again. It's worth noting that both loss prevention/harasser of innocent people, and Donna, the manager without a heart, reassured me that I was more than welcome to go back and purchase the aforementioned present, both were notably annoyed by the fact that I said that I was staying with my husband and at one point threatened to ban me as well, for choosing to not callously abandon my husband and give money to an establishment that feels there is nothing wrong with treating individuals in...
Read moreUnprofessional and rude "service" from service desk from Ada Suddeth on 8-10-15 and 8-13-15 at Pisgah Forest NC WALMART. Miss Suddeth would not even talk to me when I tried to ask the question about what I should do differently next time so there would not be so much ado over a return. Miss Suddeth stood 10 feet behind desk and leaned against the wall both times I was there.. . I felt sorry for the two employees she seemed to be "supervising" . The other employees were on the computers and were politely and professionally helping people with questions. So I was expecting the same friendly service when it was my turn. I was the only person with a return. I had the receipt where I had paid $59.99 each for four chairs and had the large box the chair came in with the barcode on the box. The chair I brought in broke when it was used. I told the young girl it the other 3 chairs was ok and I like them so much I just wanted to get another chair to replace the broken one. The young girl at the computer took my receipt back and showed it to Miss Suddeth who shook her head no. the young girl came and told me no and I asked why. Again the back and forth with Miss Suddeth still leaning against the wall. I was then told no because I did not have the actual price tag off the chair even though I had the cash register receipt and box which the young girl had scanned both and they matched. Miss Suddeth again shook her head no. Two of my friends had walked in during this time and listened to what was going on my friends both said they thought it was uncalled for treatment and certainly a reason to shop at Kmart. Miss Suddeth waved the girl over and the girl came back asked for my debit card and did a credit on my card. My actual return time was 30 minutes which did not include the time I waited in line for my turn. I didn't write a review then and gave Miss Suddeth the benefit of the doubt in case she was sick or having a bad day. I talked to several friends, family members and co-workers to see if they had trouble returning things at Pisgah Forest and everyone said yes no matter who was at the service desk. They all have either stopped shopping at our Wlamart altogether or they took their returns and recipts to other stores in the area. I walked by the service desk today 8-13-15 and Miss Suddeth was laughing and talking and walking around so she can walk and talk. I stood to the said and watched until someone came up with a return. Miss Suddeth did the same thing to them leaning against the wall, not talking to or acknowledging the customers presence or questions. the customer had a unopened present with a gift receipt but they ending up leaving frustrated and saying they would just go to Arden or Hendersonville to a friendly service desk person which seemed to make Miss Suddeth very happy. my question service desk employees pay and/or bonus tied to how low customer...
Read moreThis is an ok Walmart, it's a little smaller than some of the giant Walmarts. Most of the employees are nice except for two specific hardcases. The pharmacy staff is friendly. Strangely this Walmart is the beside a department store I think it's like Belk or something. I usually don't like Walmart because they canned me for talking about the benefits of a union just casually at lunch, not even trying to organize anything, when I was doing some construction for them in my early twenties. (The "Associates" desperately need a fighting class-struggle-oriented union. Although here in the shoot yourself in the foot South it's not something many are likely to admit. Hopefully this will change. Southern workers are slowly realizing that they are not temporarily embarrassed millionaires and they hopefully the white working class can get over the idea that a black person might make the same wage as them. [I know, the horror, right?]) I really believe that the higher up Executives should be jailed or rehabilitated into the working class through labor, and the fortune that was made off the backs of American employees treated poorly and merchandise bought from who knows what kind of sweatshops in South Asia and other places where labor is not strong, should be used to benefit the "associates" and their descendents, if they have passed, to get decent health care, a good education, and perhaps to repair some of the environmental damage that Walmart is done over the years. All that said this is just a typical Walmart except it's small. If you can dodge the two irritating person shaped objects who stalk about the...
