DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MANAGER CARL.
I went to buy some ground beef from gala foods, 1050 East Main St. as I started to cook the ground beef it started to smell spoiled and tasted horrible. I called Gala foods where I shared what the issue was. Carl whoās the manager said bring it and we will fix the problem. I mentioned to him that the meat was cooked and he said it was not a problem. I got there and he came and said what is this. I mentioned to him that we spoke over the phone and he said to bring it and we will fix the issue. I told him the ground beef was fine once I started to cook it, it started to smell spoiled. He said to me with an attitude , everything we sell is fresh. Did you wash the meat first ? Maybe you did the recipe wrong, maybe you donāt know how to cook! ā I told himā donāt do that, thatās unprofessional of you and very rudeā , he laughed and smirked and said he canāt do anything about it and tried to dismiss me . I told him ā I donāt come here because I want to start trouble or because Iām trying to make your job hard, Iām telling you that the ground beef is spoiled just like last time the cheese I bought was spoiled too and also the ice had rat poop , when I went to return the cheese, he gave me such a hard time as well. I told Carl I wanted to speak to someone else and he told me that heās in charge there is no one else and to have a good day. I asked him about the owner and he walked away. He didnāt even want to repeat his name and or share any information about another number. I was a loyal customer and so was my family but this experience is so disgusting and unprofessional and just plain rude. I will no longer be a customer...

Until the day of handing the cake to the restaurant we had this surprise party, which would have been sliced to be served. Turn out the cake was not of DOMINICAN. Already handed out to the guest. So as proof i took a few slices to show the store. She asked where is the rest of the cake, like really The icing wasn't even what it should have been. Long story short went back to make my complaint Sunday was told to come back the next day. And still it was a fight. Mind you if i wanted an AMERICAN CAKE AS I TOLD THE YOUNG LADY I WOULD HAVE GONE TO BJS, STOPNSHOP OR SHOPRITE OR SIMPLY ORDER FROM THAT DISPLAY. i refuse to spend that amount that i paid for the cake cost me 55 plus they charged me for the decorations. Which I've never heard before... some supervisor thought the best i deserved was$25. Which i paid 59. And purchased other items in the store. That's the cake. And to say this is not my first time having a DOMINICAN CAKE. THIS IS NOT IT.... GALA DID NOT TAKE THEIR CUSTOMERS INTO CONSIDERATION. THERE WAS NOT GOOD OUT COME. Once in a while ice creams are too much. Meats are some what reasonable..but i think they can do better for the bridgeport people. We live in a town that rent is expensive.. For people who actually works for a living makes it harder to do a proper shopping in this place. I see myself shopping mostly for meats only.. Lucky if i buy eggs or bread or anything else. But compares is nice but too overpriced as alot of people agree. Those who dont agree either they are loaded with money or food stamps. Just saying the truth.. No offense to anyone. .. So compares please drop your prices or drop the prices in mid month after 15th. Noticed your little game on 1st thru the 10th. 5 extra day later will die down shoppers . makes it more convenient for others to get a decent...
