Rice was cold, so mad, what Spanish place doesn't have hot rice. Pork chop was greasy and well done.
Beans were good, I had to use that in order to keep the rice warm and edible.
I had a empanadas, supposedly "chicken". Tasted like fish or imitation crab meat. Mistery 🍖 meat. And to top it off a bone in my empanada wich wasnt a chicken bone. Almost broke my tooth. Im not trying to bash the restaurant but I work in a restaurant for over 16years. And I tip well and except the same service and food as I treat my guest. But they just wanted my money. It was just disappointing to my culture. Puerto Rico my island and trying to promote food from our island 🏝️. By far. I highly recommend another spot. El morivi in Bridgeport is the best. They close Early which is the downside.
But no stars, I hate to leave a bad reviews but it was a waste of $30.00 and walked in the rain to get some comfort food which wasn't the case. Plus I had the worst diarrhea. I felt like the food was stale and food born I'llness. And expired meat.
Sorry but you guys have to work on your presentation. Sad because years ago this place was delicious. I don't know...
Read moreI'm a cook for many years. My Grandparents own four restaurants. I've been to hundreds of Dominican and Puerto Rican restaurants. This place needs a chef that knows about ingredients. I spent $80 just for me and my wife. Horrible! Beans were tasteless. Oxtail was made with ragu sauce. Tasteless. Don't think I've ever tasted anything worst. $25 for a small lunch plate. Rice was not fresh at all. I order tostones and they were almost riped platanos. They even charged for the mojito (Garlic and oil) that supposedly should be included. I've never been to a Puerto Rican restaurant that charge you for mojito. My wife order beef stew and meat was game meat. Tasteless and horrible. Bought it home to my dog a she got angry. I had food at Carridad which is a small restaurant down the block. Food was way better. This Ramirez guy need to reevaluate his Chef. Won't catch me there again. I don't know about those 4 and 5 star ratings but those must be relatives or good friends that don't want to offend them or just don't know...
Read moreI firsts visit this restaurant in 2019 and I felt right at home. I was raised in the South Bronx and as many people that come from New York City the best Hispanic/Latino restaurants are own my Dominicans/Puerto Ricans/Cubans because of the love and the great seasoning flavors. This gem is a pleasure to visit and worth every single cent. Not only will you leave with a happy tummy but you will experience the warmth and love of Pepe.a true Dominican prince and gentlemen who will shower you with love,Respect and courtesy. His service is phenomenal. The food is freshly made and you will always want to return to try a new dish.I have try many other restaurants here in CT with similar foods but nothing they are trying to sell to the public can compare to the uniqueness of Ramirez's restaurant. Don't be afraid to stop by this place because of the bad reputation that the east end has, come for the experience of Good food.I can't wait to try a mofongo and my favorite steaks.I can go on and on. you won't...
