I was going to make an elaborate review about what my encounter with Dr. Renata Wix-Harris was like, on the hopes it would get her removed from any human contact. After reading countless comments with the exact same experience, she is either the owner or has a strong tie with the owners and they turn a blind eye to her inhumane demeanor. anyways, best I can do in the given situation. A toast to another victim of her demeaning attitude. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE, if you are looking for a facility with the services they offer you are seeking to gain self confidence back, and trust me you will leave this place deeper in the hole then you are now my friend. EDIT: I have no idea how to reply and I have no intentions of calling. The reason why it took so long to leave a review was quite simple. I went in for a tattoo removal which was definitely the worst mistake of my life, being bullied and losing many things in my life over it, not all hope was lost when I found this clinic. I went in for the consultation and was placed in a room with an actually helpful member of the staff who was cordial and professional. Upon taking a picture of my tattoo for records, she went to next room to show the dr, and from where I was I could hear her insidious laughter, presumably over my tattoo, but everyone is innocent until proven other wise right, being used to being laughed at I thought, I must go through this and remove this tattoo, even if this is extremely uncomfortable, it will be the last time I have to endure this. So I went through with it and the day only got worse when she entered the room. From comments of my economic status to the tattoo to my race. But I thought âhey man, this is the last timeâ the process of removing a tattoo can take MULTIPLE sessions and this clinic was the only one in the range of my house. Instead of rushing home and leaving this review I thought, âstay quiet, endure it, and once this is over, it will be overâ. Many months later I was again looking for this service, as you are supposed to spread out your sessions for best results, and preparing myself to be face to face with her once again was a task. Much to my relief I found a clinic in NY ( obviously outside my range) and decided to give them a go. Upon receiving a completely professional treatment from beginning to end, I thought it best to leave this review here. To answer your question if it wasnât obvious till now, some people are hostage to their mistakes. And thatâs exactly how I felt, I would never leave this review and come in for service. I needed you guys in order to get my life back. The actual procedure was 10/10 (Taking out her side comments about my intelligence during the procedure ). The equipment is state of the art, the facility is incredibly clean. And the part of the tattoo we were working on came off really well on that first session. But it is a business, you are entitled to laugh, mock and say whatever you want, when you arenât representing a business. For the curious, Who have made it this far I had a tattoo with an obscene gesture on my wrist, which obviously was a mistake. Help people gain their confidence back and erase things they feel uncomfortable about. My experience doesnât seem to be a one off, you donât have to scroll down to see her name mentioned multiple times with the same story elements. Her professional skill are not the question here, let it be know, I would give a 10/10 for the results, which is due to her work. But the mental abuse youâre gonna go through is not worth it, there are other clinics and other professionals. What they do behind your back is their irrelevant. What they do in front of you while representing a business is. I CANT BELIEVE I GOT THIS OFF MY CHEST. Wow this feels good not feeling hostage to...
Read moreI waited almost one month post-treatment before reviewing so this will be a thorough one -- buckle in!
For context, I am a 30 y.o female. I am not a stranger to aesthetics, having undergone plastic surgery and injectable treatments (filler, botox, etc.) in the past. However, I am very, VERY particular about who I go to since I believe your face is worth investing in. I was previously going to the same skin clinic and injector in NYC for about 4 years; they are a bicoastal provider and service many famous faces that typically remain anonymous (but from who I've snooped around to find out, their work is very subtle). Living in Central NJ, I wanted to move my business to someone more local but my standards were extremely high. After weeks of research, I concluded that Reflections Center was going to provide the same caliber of results that I could expect from my previous injector.
When determining which provider at Reflections I should see, the reviews varied a LOT. I will defer to your own research to grasp the sentiment from others; however, one thing stood out to me. Dr. Renata Wix-Harris was a no-nonsense, highly skilled, artistic, and experienced injector. There was no doubt in my mind that Dr. Wix-Harris would be the right provider to inject me based on her conservative and scientific aesthetic approach, maintaining an objective and professional lens throughout the entire process.
And that is exactly what she did. I visited Dr. Wix-Harris for a consultation for temple filler, possible cheek filler, and to begin laser treatments for skin maintenance. She was stoic, polite, and professional throughout the entire process. Dr. Wix-Harris either agreed or politely and directly disagreed with my ideas, providing rationale and alternative solutions (e.g., 'let's wait to see if you still want X after we do Y', 'let's start off with something less intensive and if you still want to do X, we'll go from there').
Let me be clear - Dr. Wix-Harris is not going to swoon you, but that's not her job. She still made me feel seen and heard, and at the end of the day, she was going to (and did) provide me with expert level aesthetic services that healed naturally with minimal bruising, virtually no swelling (my entire face has swelled for 1 month straight every time I've received filler in the past, not matter where it was injected).
Dr. Wix-Harris is incredibly knowledgable. I was provided clear and simple post-treatment instructions after she finished with temple filler, cheek filler, and a Clear & Brilliant laser session. By the end of the week, my skin was glowing and my injection spots were easily hidden with concealer. It was the most seamless, professional, and trusting experience.
I am so relieved, happy, and excited to have found my new favorite skin clinic at Reflections Center under the care of Dr....
Read moreI have been coming to Reflections in Martinsville for about 2 years now for laser hair removal. I had completed all recommended sessions when attending college at a different spa, so my visits to Reflections was primarily regarding routine maintenance for my area of concern. The sessions had already done their job back in the day - I just had minimal hair growth every 6 months or so due to hormones. Still, before my first session at Reflections I opted for a consultation to ensure I was comfortable with the providers, facility and price-point. What attracted me to this location was (1) cleanliness (2) openness/kindness of the staff - ranging from the front desk associates to the techs accompanying you into the laser room and (3) the fact that I felt 10x better about a major insecurity of mine upon entering the door. So why the 1 star?
On my most recent visit to Reflections for another laser maintenance session - this had to be at least my 6th or 7th time - I was treated with the utmost disrespect by Dr. Renata Wix Harris. She has performed 90% of my treatments. Based on my consultation, as well as my history at the spa, I have ALWAYS paid the same fee for the same service. Dr. Wix Harris came into the laser room this time adamant that I should be paying an additional $50 and that I had been receiving free services this whole time. Without even discussing it first, she states with certainty âweâll just add that to the bill this time.â In what world of client services is this acceptable? #1 the remark about receiving free services is not only offensive but was truly embarrassing; she made me feel as if I was some sort of criminal. And #2 I opted for a consultation with a doctor before receiving the treatments in order to avoid this very thing! Itâs not about the money for me, $50 represents about 16% of the total fee I had paid for my treatment in the past. Itâs about the principle and it's about a âprofessional doctor" behaving so curt. After I said I did not want to go through with the laser treatment, Dr. Wix exited the room saying â...well BYE!â .... seriously felt like I was back in high school.
The only saving grace was the kind tech in the room who witnessed the whole thing and apologized to me for Dr. Wix's attitude. I was clearly upset and she was kind enough to console and reassure me that she understood where I was coming from. Going back to my first few statements, I donât want to deter potential customers from this spa or their laser treatments. However, I would not recommend Dr. Renata Wix Harris due to her unprofessionalism and lack of sensitivity to clientele. I wonât be stepping a foot back into this spa...
