Unfortunately we struggled for 35 minutes to get our parking lights and interior cabin lights to go off. We couldnât figure it out, and weâre ACTIVELY trying. We pulled fuses, we tried the hatch trick, even with the hatch closed they were still on. No one would offer help to us, instead they complained to the workers. When he came out to âhelpâ he told us we had to move the car. We were so humiliated and felt guilty for interfering with others fun time. It was me and my female best friend and our 3 children. We were super upset, the kids were upset, it was late. When he approached us we were in the process of shutting the car hatch, turning it off completely and moving us all outside- despite lack our of chairs or anything to sit on the ground, and weâre well aware this meant no active stereo to hear the movie. So moving the car was not ideal for us with everything outside the car already. If we were going to pack up again we would leave. We drove almost an hour each way. After he came over and was incredibly rude and NOT helpful at all, we did decide to leave. They refused to refund my friend who purchased the tickets saying âwhy would I refund you? You can just move the car to a location with no one else around, we can get you cardboard to block the headlightsâ It was heartbreaking experience. Had one person come up and offer help to us maybe this couldâve been avoided. Anyway- we will NEVER be back after last night. Incredibly sad because we ALWAYS would go there as kids and it was magical. Times have changed, and they clearly cater to a certain demographic- single moms struggling with kids is NOT the...
Read moreI truly cannot envision how some of the 1 star reviews happened here. Despite my prior research about how to keep my car lights off, I still managed to drain my car battery to death. The owner was very kind and asked more than reasonable questions about how I found myself in that situation, and helped problem solve it. With no hesitation, he brought his battery charge pack to help jump my Jeep, and when that didn't work offered to bring his own truck over. I now know that if I get there and my battery is at 12.4 volts, that just 11.6 volts is enough to not start my renegade, and that it took two battery charger packs to jump me. We will probably bring a radio next time to avoid that. The owner truly went above and beyond to help us and we had a great conversation about how the film industry works in both traditional movie theaters and in drive ins. I can only imagine the amount of entitlement or misdirected anger someone must come at this man to cause any of these negative reviews. Thank you again. We can't...
Read moreFirst time ever experiencing a drive-in theater and we went to see Hocus Pocus this past weekend. It was a little confusing to purchase tickets on Eventbrite and I inadvertently purchased tickets to the Friday show instead of Saturday night which is what I wanted to attend.
The owner was VERY accommodating and said it wasn't a problem as the theater wasn't sold out (likely due to the rain all day). He showed us how to set up our car to not have the lights on during the movie. You turn your radio to a specific station depending on the screen you're watching and it was a cool experience.
The snack shack is the best! Bucket of buttered popcorn, two boxes of candy (Buncha Crunch and Junior Mints) and a bottled water was $15.50. The server was very kind.
Bathrooms are VERY clean which is a great bonus. Biggest thing to remember is it's CASH ONLY. Following the Facebook page is very helpful as it provides all the information needed to attend along with the menu for that night.
All in all, a great...
