Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Brighton Charter Township

Over the past year I've been more and more disappointed in this place. If I want a 2 serving can of Campbell's soup I'll buy it at Kroger or Meijer for half the price. If I want a small jar of mayonnaise for double the price of Kroger or Meijer I guess I'll buy it here. It's starting to remind me of a condensed version of Walmart minus the clothing and electronics selection. This is not the Gordon's that I used to buy in bulk form. I guess I'll skip it and do my shopping at Costco, I can purchase tiny items for the same price at a local party store in a pinch. I love shopping here! The GFS chicken breast is the only kind I will buy. I have tried getting them from other grocery stores and I am always disappointed. Theirs are always so tender and juicy, no matter how they are cooked. I also like they they are never too busy. The workers are all very helpful and nice. If the store doesn't carry a certain item, ask them to see if they can order that item in for you. A lot of times, they can put in a special order. It's sad to see that costumer service is going down hill so bad the staff did not even seem to have time for me. I tried to ask 3 different people a question 2 were too busy stocking and one did not even know if they carried a product any longer that I have been getting there for several years now. The manager could not even stop to say hold on a moment I'll be right with you just keep walking by and had the gal to say thank you for coming after I put my stuff back and walked out upset.
