When you go into a store and ask for lithium batteries and are told with great confidence (by the manager no less) that Staples doesn't carry them - and then find them there on your own, there's a problem. Staples is trying to recover, but it won't happen without competent, caring people working the store. If you go to this store (Brighton), look for Greg. He is everything both they and you need - outstanding individual. Bob the cashier was also helpful. The manager and Jill were far from it. Jill was busy taking the promo labels off promo items a full day before the promo was to end and was less than cordial when asked why. (The reason was that she had to get them all done before the end of the day, which indicates that neither customer concerns nor that of the company was more important than completing her task. That's not competent or caring and the fact that the company (Staples) appears to support that does not portend well. You can find good stuff here, but the hoops you may have to jump through make it so that Staples will forever need to offer remarkable (probably non-profitable) deals for it to be...
Read moreI went in with my husband yesterday, 6/23/25 at about 6pm. The customer service was beyond horrible. A man with a ski hat on was waiting on everyone in this 95 degree heat. He and this older lady were clearly miserable with their jobs. Amazon says "Staples will prepare and ship your items" as soon as I got up to the counter the rude woman said "No box? Here put it in this bag" with zero politeness and pointed to the bags. The man then said "go stand by the computer and your receipt will print" there was no printer in sight for customers. After waiting around for a while with zero guidance on where my receipt was, my husband just went behind the counter and grabbed it.
I get that your jobs are now mostly waiting on Amazon people and that Staples is a slowly dying company and the only reason Staples does the returns is to gain foot traffic into the store. However, your job is literally customer service; you cannot be this rude and unpleasant. Myself and the line of people were snickering at how awful you guys are. Going off the reviews, this isn't a one-off.
You know better,...
Read moreMy company, our parent company, and all of my family’s business have used Staples for all of our office supply and printing needs since 2007, Until today we have had nothing but positive experiences.
On this day, Saturday (7/12) at around 2pm I sent one of our younger female employees to this location to pick up some supplies for my work trip. While she was there a man working for Staples was following her around and harassing her, presumably suspecting her of shoplifting. We believe he is one of the managers there.
For description - He is caucasian, bald, 30’s/40’s. His behavior was aggressive and made my employee feel unsafe. This is completely unacceptable and I will be reporting this location to the corporate office. I am hoping this is simply a case of a “bad apple” as this is not consistent with the cultural environment and standards that I have come to expect from Staples.
There is no shortage of other companies in the office supply sector that we can give our business to, I do hope that this complaint is taken to heart otherwise we will be taking our...
