Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Genoa Charter Township

I haven't been to the outback near me in quite a while, and now it's going to be even longer between visits. The food was decent, the atmosphere was "outback" and service was very good.

My one-star review is based on their electronic addition to the experience, and the total absence of floor management. There's now a device on every table that allows you to order from the table or play games while you wait for your food. Not a horrible idea until I "discovered" a $3 additional charge on my damn bill for playing a game on the device. Below the huge "play now" option in very small letters was the $3 charge that I didn't see. You'd think the server would be instructed to tell you about the device's operation, but I don't't blame her.... I blame management! I've been there twice in the last 6 months, and I have NEVER seen a floor manager or had anyone walk up to my table and check on us other than the server.

I approached the server practically in a rage to protest the charge. She apologetically pulled $3 in cash out of her pocket and gave it to me. I went back to my table, was calmed down by the friend I was with..... and added $3 to her tip. It wasn't her fault, but it'll be a long time before I ever go back again!

Maybe Outback will figure out there's a reason why you can walk in there now at 5:00, and there are less than five customers.

The quality of the food is still decent, but the pricing is no longer a great value.... It's called a dining experience for a reason, and I think their current management has forgotten that concept

All right, people Outback Steakhouse, was the bomb great time. Great atmosphere went on a date here.Gotta say had a great time, are server. Dakota was really good. He was on his game. Highly recommend him and don't forget to tip him well. Cause he deserves it. The food was ridiculously good, starting with obviously the Blooming Onion. Very good, always a hit next. I got a Melbourne Porterhouse steak, and I have to say ridiculously good. I got mine rare. Not everyone's choice but very well prepared 💯 the way I like. My sides were 🔥loaded mashed potatoes and 🔥steakhouse Mac and cheese. I also got a house salad with ranch. If you do get a salad, ask for dressing on the side as well. Because they put some dressing top, but it's not enough. Other than that, the salad was great. My date got a Ribeye steak with 🔥steakhouse Mac and cheese 🔥grilled asparagus my date could not stop talking about the asparagus and how good it was. Recommend some melted butter on the side for your asparagus it hits. Do not get dessert. But I would recommend the tower of chocolate cake that they have It looks so good and it just sounds really good. I highly recommend this place all the way down to my server Dakota again. Phenomenal job that man deserves a raise. do not skip out on this place. It's hidden but the way I look at it. It's a hidden gem. If you can find it, don't skip this place. Don't go to Cracker Barrel, not worth...

Update: After leaving this review the manager Jennifer reached out to me to apologize for what happened and offered us a $40 voucher and asked I call before I return so she made sure we had a wonderful experience. We returned to celebrate my daughters and my anniversary we arrived with balloons and birthdays cards signed by the entire staff at the restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and did a good job. The steak was phenomenal it melted in your mouth very very well cooked they did a great job with all of the food. I enjoyed the experience when giving them another shot to make things right and glad that I did. THANK YOU Jennifer and outback staff for the great meal and excellent service you provided!!!! I will return!!!!

Went to have dinner with my husband here and was put on the waiting list was told 15 to 20 minutes.... well 45 minutes later I asked if we would be seated soon they said they had a unknown issue in the kitchen and they didn't know when we would be seated. So with that being said going here was a big waste of time. We should've been updated instead of waiting around almost an hour to be turned away. Poor management and staff and many people who's time was wasted waiting to eat now it's almost 8pm we are hungry and going home to eat cereal. Thank outback steakhouse great management and staff you have there. Zero stars in my book will...
