So, tonight I have an accident and break my phone. Since I didn't like the coverage I was getting with the competitor's signal and I just placed an order converting all my company phones over to AT&T, I rushed over to my local store to start service. Rushed? Yes, it was getting late, 7:15. Got there at 7:35 figuring that should be plenty of time to pick up a phone. WRONG. I walk in the door to this young gal almost yelling across the store. "Can I help you find something?". I guess it was just too close to closing to say hi. Told her I wanted to get a new phone and was very quickly asked what carrier are you with? Told her and told her about the poor signal. Asked how service was on the Cape and was brushed off being told that that was something she would have to research for me.She then said that to get a phone I would have to bring in my username and password for my old account to port my number. When I told her that I didn't want my number ported (As it was from another state) she told me that most people port their number to get some kind of discount. When I insisted that I did not want my number ported she finally came out and said it. "It's late and we would have to rush setting up your account". Did I say earlier "I broke my phone"? Personally, I didn't care if we had to rush, nor did I care if she would have had to stay an extra 10 minutes, I needed a phone. I said fine, just forget it. As I'm walking out the door she then had the gaul to say "Im not trying to push you out or anything". Oh boy, that was the comment that pushed it over the edge. So I walked out and left. Figured I better get the manager's name I poke my head back in. There were now 3 young folks, all standing there talking. So I asked if anyoone of them are the manager and she said no. I asked his name and she told me. I asked if her manager was ok with her treating customer's like this and she actually had the nerve to say "Oh yeah, just call him tomorrow, he'll be more than glad to help you." Well, after reading the other reviews now for this same store I guess the store manager IS ok with it. If one of MY employees treated one of my customers like that they would be gone so fast it would make their head spin. But then, I have zero bad reviews on Googlke or anywhere else for that matter. Oh, and if I ever did there sure wouldn't be a second. Do yourself a favor. Unless you enjoy being treated like crap stay away from the Bristol AT&T Store. Oh, did I mention I just ordered a fleet of phones...
Read moreI just walked into at & t, (yeah it was 7:45, you get out in fifteen minutes, but this still should have excellent customer service) As I Immediately walked in, some voice from the back says and I quote..... "you got a question", (no greetings at all), just..... "you got a question?" from a woman, mind you she is already helping a customer, but before I can say "ya know, you can finish off with him, I don't want to be RUDE and interrupt a conversation...." she was adamant about my question, so I rudely interrupted because she wanted me to and said "I just need you to walk me through on how I log into my phone who gave to me for free today, it's asking for all of his information and I had already known my friend deleted everything off he phone before giving it to me, so all I needed to know is how to unlock it (which means getting an email/username and password), she said and I quote "go home get Wi-Fi and do it yourself....................don't you think I've tried that and that's why I'm here? like my computer and there site were giving me a problem..............this girl told me to go home and figure it out myself and by know means am I racist, nor this is a racial comment at all, but it was the black girl in the back, she looked sweet and I think I think I've had a past experience with this girl that was good, but by no means did she meat my standards, it was very rude, you were there to help me, whether its the first 8 minutes you come in the morning to work, or the last 8 minutes you work, you should always be professional and have exceptional customer service..........you're there to help me, guide me..........because I've already tried what you're telling me to do and it didn't work, that's why I came to you, my standards were not meant with this particular employee, because everyone else I've dealt with has been unbelieveably professional and has had amazing customer service.............I'm sorry girl, I was just really disappointed, because I'm still trying to sit here to get this phone to work when my SIM CARD is already in it, I have my plan with you, its just a new phone and I can't log in..................now I have no means of communication until tomorrow and I have a kid so what if I have an emergency, well OOPS, this woman didn't care about this loyal customer that has been coming to this location for years, I can go on and on but I think you...
Read moreUnfortunate updated and long review 6/23/24 Never had a bad experience until now. I have been a prepaid customer for over a decade and also have a post paid line as well. I walked in on 6/23, store was completely empty, 2 men were working and sitting down on their phones. Neither one of them greeted me but 1 of them miserably walked over asking what I needed. All I wanted to do was keep my prepaid phone number and add it to my post paid account. I know that was possible however I was told they can't do that, there is no way to keep my number. I mentioned how I had previously confirmed it was possible with another att location and also checked with different providers as well who said they would even be able to do it but I wasnt ready to switch yet. He wasn't budging or willing to help. As I'm starting to walk out the other guy working literally yells" call customer service, maybe they will help you." That was my final straw with att. I walked out, switched to T Mobile that same day and what do you know I was able to keep my phone number . Att is such a joke.
