(Last Week) If it wasn’t for my recent visit to the Kroger‘s, I wouldn’t have remembered to post this review which is long overdue. I don’t know if it was a vendor or an actual employee of Kroger’s, but while I was shopping, there was this pallet that was stacked too high that could’ve easily fallen, but the employee simply ignored it as they chatted with the female over by the bakery department. Customers shouldn’t have to move out of employees way. It should be the other way around and there shouldn’t be anything that would cause that hazard or that would make it so a customer would have to leave or not go in the area that they were hoping to get food or whatever else they could get at the store. The male definitely looked relaxed. Anyways, besides not being able to find the product I was looking for while walking through the store it just brought up the memories that I forgot that I was supposed to post it a while back about how I really felt about visiting the store for the very first time.. What I thought .:End of Last Year Visit:. Awful place to visit. The place or the employees just make me feel dirty when I visit the store. The manager??? Idk seems to have an attitude and a sweaty appearance (messy hair and clothes (maybe he was lifting products in the back. Idk)) there were a lot of employees hanging around the front not assisting customers. They were chatting amongst themselves and on their cellphones. They have no real dress code for their employees. They should. It’s a profession environment no matter what the job is. *** that being said I’m not talking about all employees. Some actually looked like they tried and knew their job. *** I really wish they had a Harris Teeter nearby. At least they have some standards. I would never judge a whole company because of a few individuals that I didn’t care for because of their actions and words used towards me. That wouldn’t be fair. Especially since I’m just now being it to their attention and they have not been able to improve their store or business from my feedback. I just hope they take it seriously. I will say I did visit the another location soon after that and they had a nicer store and the manager was dressed nicely and he had no problem assisting me. Sadly it doesn’t change the view I had of the Bristol VA store . Do better. Btw Krogers is selling a plant at another location for $8.99 at this location however it is still priced at $29.99 when I asked about it the my approved of the price change while at the register then after submitting payment they canceled the transaction stating they can’t prove match even with their own stores. They didn’t even want to provide a receipt for the cancelled transaction but we asked her to give it to us for proof that it was removed and to make sure the charge falls off from the card. I have pictures attached below. It was just freakin rude especially since they had already authorized it and then thought we would buy it regular price. It was already ridiculously priced. You’re better off buying the plant seeds from a gardening store.

In the last year the store has gone down hill. It is dirty, trash on the floor, the bathrooms are so disgusting, I will never use them again. Items are always out of place- Came in on a Friday and there was an acorn squash in with the tofu. Came back on Sunday and it was still there. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Produce quality has not been good, there is often rotting fruits and veg. Produce on the floor that employees are just stepping over. Produce that is covered in dirt. I don't know if the owner/manager has changed in the last year, but it has been very disappointing. The only reason I keep coming back is because of it's location and there are many Kroger and Private Selection products that I like. There are never any shopping carts , they all get left in the parking lot. The employees, especially the ones fulfilling pick up orders, look very unprofessional. I have often seen them in sweatpants, looking like they just rolled out of bed. PLEASE 🙏 CLEAN UP THE STORE!

Kroger is now my official go to for all things dairy-free. There natural foods selection far out ways other local markets. I am forced to be dairy free now and I can find all my substitutes here. All but cottage cheese. I will have to let that one go and move on. Although, I will say this stuff is not cheap! Why can't we get healthy food options at the same price as other items? Stuff that is bad for us is penny's compared to healthy.

This place is aweful. I went today and bought some things. 1st off every time I go there single cans of dog food are sold out! Why not stock more? Then I pay for my stuff they hurry and load it in my cart...which is new because most times I have to bag it myself. So I get home and a bag is missing. I call up there and they said just come back. Well since my wife is coming by there can you just hold it for her. They said yes. It will be at the front counter. So my wife gets there 10 mins after I hang up and they tell her they put everything back on the shelf. She doesn’t know what’s missing. To make a long story short... this has been our go to grocery store for over 18 years. This will be our last! We have had a few other problems over the years... like discounts not being taken at the check out. If you don’t watch closely you will not get it. And I’m tired of 99% of the time I have to bag my own stuff while 5 employees sit at the counter and joke around. Also when you do make a complaint you never get a response! I’ll be driving a couple more miles from now on to go to food city! Kroger you better get your act together or you’ll be like...
