The owners of the hotel treated me great to me and my girlfriend as well as always showed and spoke to us with the upmost respect while we've been staying here and the entire cleaning and front office staff have been wonderfully helpful as well as nice and friendly no matter what I needed from them while I've been staying here. They have great room rates and especially if you use Priceline to book your room. They also have weekly room rates that are very reasonable. So, for the cost per-night, this is a wonderful place to stay while you're in Bristol, VA. There is a coin laundry onsite here at the hotel which is very rare and even though the prices to wash and dry a load of laundry may be slightly more expensive than a regular laundry mat, you do not have to go or carry your laundry far to be able to get them washed and dried. The washers and dryers in the laundry are clean and well maintained and there is 3 or 4 of each machine so that you can be washing or drying multiple loads at the same time. This hotel is also linked to a convenience store called State-Line Tobacco which I believe is owned by the same people as who own the Rodeway Inn. This is a nice addition to this property that comes in handy If you're in need of drinks, snacks, or tobacco products, etc. The staff of the Rodeway Inn as well as State-Line Tobacco Store are all extremely friendly and very helpful as well they seem to be willing to go the extra mile in order to accommodate any of the special needs or requests that may come up while staying here at this hotel. This is a very clean and well-maintained property and I know that the owners are in the process of updating all of the hotel rooms now and then this will be a superior hotel compared to other hotels which are graded with the same number of stars as the Rodeway Inn is. So, I would definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Bristol anytime in the future. Also whenever you're booking your room be sure to use the Priceline App or website in order to save a few extra dollars nightly and I know that our stay here has been a bit longer than we had initially expected but the hotel had no problem with this and they were happy to help accommodate myself and my girlfriend as long as we needed to stay and we weren't asked to change rooms nor move to another section of the hotel because of this which was especially nice and we were very grateful for this aspect of our stay as well. So, overall this has been a great experience and I will always choose to come back to this hotel in the future whenever I am needing accommodations in Bristol, VA or Bristol, TN which is literally across the the street out front of the hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone else that I know who needs a clean room for a great price with a friendly staff who will gladly help you out with anything you might need while...
Read moreI don't really like leaving bad reviews, but this is actually more of a warning. If you have kids or elderly people, please don't book here. If you have a woman that you care about at all, please don't bring her here. At first pull in, you see not only grills on display but clothes drying on the balcony rails. Then you may notice the crosses wreathed with flowers near the back wall of the parking lot; letting you know that some unfortunate souls were lost on this spot. Then, as you drive by the "laundry" room, you may notice the hose draining water into the lot from the washing machine. You may even notice the stares of deaden eyes behind half closed lids, glancing in your direction from the multiple souls that haunt the walkways and door frames as you inch closer to the "office" window. As you stop your vehicle and get out to approach the "office," you may or may not notice the lumbering bodies shuffling to and fro with no actual direction or destination. Then, arriving at your own destination, you may or may not think... What in the... am I doing here. And all of this was on a Monday evening. If you stay here, then hopefully you have another purpose rather than for some rest and relaxation...
Read moreThis hotel, wow, I had a staff member, could barley see for all the hair in his face, getting stoned while on company dime, btw, and sharing/ allowing customers to "hit it" all on camera 9.17, second floor, bout 12 or 1 , in full view of other customers, allow a weekly tenet to verbally assault me AND PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT "HE WAS WATCHING THAT TENNET, THE WHOLE TIME AND SHE NEVER SPOKE TO ME" . I replied , that it was on video, and other patrons agreed to hearing the woman! This makes for a VERY unsafe environment. This same boy, ganged up on me with a "maintenance man" and bullying me after paying 300 to this hotel, mind you, and told me to kick rocks! My battery had died, and I was jumping it with a jump box. Again, all on camera. They were very aggressive, and I will spend every free second that I have on this situation until it was resolved. They also gave me private information of the man that booked the room prior, when I paid the $300. They kept the room in the prior occupants name! Obviously, upon realizing this, I was dealing with the aggressors. His name, address, phone, credit card, EVERYTHING! VERY NEGLIGENT at BEST! Last, but not least, MOST ROOMS, THE DOORS DONT EVEN...
