Malise is an exceptional server, spot on and very efficient. Top notch service, great food. Had 1 incident with a dirty spoon and it was immediately and apologetically handled. Omelette was perfectly prepared as were the grits. The eggs over medium were exactly as ordered which is rare. I have not had my eggs cooked correctly in years unless I prepare them - no hard edges, no raw whites, just soft yellows as an over medium indicates!!! The MATURE lady at the hostess stand is above and beyond wonderful, beautiful, and efficient. THE MATURE GORGEOUS LADY AT THE DOOR IS THE BEST ADVERTISEMENT THIS PLACE CAN HAVE - she knows her stuff, is warm, welcoming, friendly, and just what every establishment needs. The entire restaurant operates smoothly, I Ky exception is some young male who was cleaning tables-he was so ineffective with his half cleaning as he pushed food and crumbs into the floor instead of cleaning it up and then using the same dirty cloth repeatedly without even shaking the food from the previous table off. Cleanliness is important, he seriously needs retrained or replaced. Kitchen staff are...
Read moreI've been here several times now. The food here is quite tasty, with several wonderful menu choices, and the service here is quite good. However, being that breakfast is my favorite meal, I do have a major problem with their lack of options for breakfast potatoes. The spice they use on their home fries is overpowering, rendering them distasteful to me, and I can't even eat them... and, I am not a spice-sensitive person. This opinion of the potatoes, was mirrored by the person I dined with. Further, and quite unfortunately, there is no option to order the home fries without the spice. Which is very disappointing to me, because potatoes are one of my favorite parts of a great breakfast out. So, for me to not eat my potatoes, is unheard of. They do not have regular hash browns to offer. The only other option for potatoes with breakfast are french fries... which also come with the same spice as the home fries, unless you ask for french fries without the spice. Otherwise, two thumbs up...
Read moreWe were visiting Bristol for a concert and found Eggs Up Grill on Google. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and immediately seated. Our server was fantastic—fast, extremely friendly, and on top of everything! Drinks came out quickly, and our food arrived in about 10 minutes, hot and fresh.
I ordered the chicken fried steak with two eggs and a side of grits. My husband had the Homestead Platter. It came with Eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits and gravy. Both meals were absolutely delicious! The only drawback was the portion size of the chicken fried steak—it was tender and very flavorful but surprisingly small, not much bigger than the palm of your hand. For the price, a slightly larger portion would have been perfect.
Aside from that, everything was wonderful. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was excellent, and the prices were fair overall (our total was $40.47 after tip). We’d definitely come back if we’re ever...
