I have been coming to this place for over a year l mainly order the Collard greens for me and my children l will call ahead of time to make sure they have some made and l am told yes and then when I get there they don't have enough for our 3 orders or they have sold out l have to come from a different city and it is so frustrating that l have drove there under the obsession that l am get Collard greens then l have to get something else also the food has way too much oil when they are making my bowls l have to tell them to not put all that oil in my food it is too much and sometimes you feel like they are giving you meat but most of it is bones a lot of bones no meat the other thing that I have a problem with is the fact that this food is served open buffet style but the staff prepares it for you and the food is not covered and they are talking all over the food they have staff serving they have their children serving teenage children no gloves no mask talking over the food some of the staff have their babies at work on their backs as they are cooking there is a lot going on there l still go there because my children loves the food so l just have too bare it but they really needs to improve on the way this...
Read moreThis is the first time I've been disappointed with food that had good flavor. The guy taking the order was rude and answered sarcastically when he was asked a question about a dish. We've purchased food from here many times and I usually always add the largest bowl of lamb to our order. There's usually a lot of lamb bones, but I don't complain because there's at least lamb meat. This time I purchased this dish and it's made much differently, there was little to no lamb in the dish, it was full mostly turkey wing bones, fish bones, kidney beans, and small bit of lamb fat, some lamb bone pieces and barely any edible meat. I'm extremely disappointed. We spent almost $60 on food for me to be picking at bones and trying to avoid getting fish bones in my throat. This is highly dishonest to sell a dish as a lamb dish and fill it with bones from other meats and fish bones. They have signs posting about the economic times and making changes and not including free items with certai orders anymore, but this isn't free, if I'm paying I want a decent meal in exchange for my money. This is not a business I'll recommend due to...
Read moreGood solid West African dishes. The food is little bit on the spicy side but that's West Africa for you. There's a buy cooked food side to the right of the building, then there's a international market/grocery store to the left of the building. The place smells like a true African store/market so don't get your panties in a bunch the prices are as reasonable as reasonable comes! The only problem I had is. I ordered meat sticks and being that they were sitting there all day the meat sticks didn't agree with me. Besides that, the Waterside market is just what a neighborhood like Brooklyn Center and every other neighborhood like it needs! Tasty cooked food, reasonably priced, and a gathering spot for the locals and a few out of town folks passing by such as myself, that is what...
