Food Lion — Local services in Brookside

I take paratransit busses, which cost money and you have to schedule your time to be picked up....I was behind one other customer at the customer service counter, while a Food Lion employee, she was maybe a district manager, was conducting business at the counter, discussing inventory and product ordering etc...she knew we were behind her waiting to make a purchase, but she could've cared less...so after 10 minutes I moved on to get a couple of items, which they were out of....after another 10 minutes this manager was still holding up the line while delegating tasks....this should be done in an area that doesn't impede a customer from doing what they came there to do (shopping)...I asked 2 employees if they knew if she was an employee or a vendor and they wanted to know why I was asking..as if they were covering for her...they could tell I wanted to file a grievance....when I was leaving I noticed her driving away in a brown or tan expensive car with 3 letters on the license plate...not going there anymore, I always get...

I love this store because it is clean, they have good prices, and lots of organic and healthy choices. I also like that it is not a mega sized football field of grocery shopping. I don’t have days to grocery shop. The one thing that really disappoints me over and over again is the non-availability of the fresh baked sourdough bread in bakery department. They have to know it is extremely popular, but whomever is doing the ordering has not increased the number of loaves they order from their bakery. I go in two to three times a week to check, and most often they do not have it. I have asked the employees in bakery dept. to ask their manager to order more, and get met with blank stares. I don’t understand the problem; if you have a popular product and you continually sell out before lunchtime, you need to order more. Please...

Edit for correction. Upon returning with the coffee to exchange it they refused to actually read the label in the image to accept that it was expired... after some issues they refunded the cost of the coffee and were rude about it all around.

First review, The store is clean and usually well stocked. The staff is helpful. The issue is that they tend to stock expired foods, the image is from a purchase made today 7-9-2021. I tried to call but no one ever answered so I'm making a review instead in hopes that the right people will see it. I did try to call multiple times at different times but no luck.

Due to the store being clean and the staff always being helpful in person I still gave them 3 stars. I will still go here but will be better about checking...
