Fiesta Maya Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Delaware

WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!! OMFG!! The best Mexican Restaurant I have been to in aloooong time. This was my husband and I first visit. When you first walk in the door you are transformed into a Mexican flare The music greets you as well a lovely and friendly hostess. Sounded like a party before we were seated. We were met by our server Wilson he was very professional and friendly he was very patient with me (I am blind) we were presented with nachos and salsa (delicious) he took our order. Drinks first, appetizer the our dinner. I loved that we were able to enjoy everything separately having a few minutes before receiving our next course.I LOVE margaritas I plan on tasting EVERY ONE they offer.. Our food was SOOO GOOD!! Our experience was worth it and exceeded our expectations. We're going to return and bring friends.I ended my meal with of course a shot of TEQUILA. The selection of TEQUILA 'S were TOP SHELF!!! When we left I discovered I left my sunglasses. We went back the next day and they were waiting for me. THANK YOU WILSON!!! Very attentive to us our entire visit as well as others. Gaving the feeling of "you are important" when check on us..,,,. WE WELCOME FIESTA MAYA!!!! SEE YOU SOON!!!! My rating is TEN STARS looking forward to your restaurant being around for awhile. My wife and I went here last night and it was not busy. We got seated quickly were most of the customers were sitting but our server didn’t come to our table for about 15 minutes after being seated. Our waiter’s name was Wilson and he was also the bartender.

He never said sorry for the wait because even if the food takes a while to come out, the server taking around 15 minutes to make first contact with you is ridiculous.

So we ordered and my wife ordered a margarita and Wilson asked does she want sugar, salt or nothing on the rim and my wife said salt but when she got the drink it had nothing on the rim.

We got chimichangas, mine was the seafood and my wife’s beef and they were delicious. The chips and salsa was good, but the rice and refried beans was under seasoned.

Wilson only came to our table once after the food was delivered and then again about 45 minutes after that when we were waiting for him to come back to get the check.

Our waiter was not attentive and only had one other table. There were 3 other tables a young lady was serving that was right in front of us and she was doing a fabulous job going and coming multiple times compared to Wilson only once in between and once at the end. He was bartending and serving tables, so maybe they need to hire more help. We will not be going back because of poor management and under seasoned Spanish rice and refried beans, how do you’ll...

We went to Fiesta Maya Mexican Grill in the Pencader Plaza on a Tuesday afternoon between lunch and dinner. It was very quiet but the service was prompt and friendly. Juan was our server and he was kind, helpful and attentive. I tried the fish tacos and they were quite good, which is hard to come by. The fish was tender and moist. I also tried the Paloma cocktail and it was very good. They use Fever Tree grapefruit soda and it was very smooth, not too forward. El Jimador was the standard tequila for this cocktail; it does not lack in taste or authenticity and keeps the price reasonable. Also recommended: Coco Loco and Corazon Picante. My husband had the Speedy Gonzales, which is a taco and enchilada with a side of beans. He said it was exactly what he was expecting and he enjoyed it very much. We sat at a booth but the restaurant has what appears to be a well appointed bar. This restaurant definitely has more ambiance and charm than the prior establishment. Looks like they might even have space to squeeze in a little dance floor- wouldn’t that be fun! The prices are reasonable: we had two cocktails, one NA drink, two entrees and an appetizer sampler for $50. It is a marvelous local establishment that I am adding to my repertoire. Will definitely...
