UPDATED Heartbreaking and Unacceptable Experience
I called ahead to book a pedicure and have my overlay removed to get shellac instead. I spoke with MiMi and confirmed everything upon arrival. The pedicure itself was fine. The technician was kind and did a great job. However, what happened with my nails was truly devastating.
I had long, natural nails that looked like a full acrylic set. I had worked hard to grow them out, and they meant a lot to me. While I was selecting a color, the technician started removing the design with a rotary tool. Then, I heard the snip. He had cut one of my nails. Before I could even react, he cut two more. I was in complete shock. Not wanting to make him feel bad, I tried to accept what had already happened. But with three nails cut, I had no choice but to let him cut the rest to match.
When he got to my thumb, he tried forcing the nail clipper, causing pain. I told him ow and told him those were my natural nails he cut. Thatās when he realized what he had done. He was shocked and apologized, but it was already done.
To make matters worse, while removing the remaining overlay, he grabbed a towel from another desk and carelessly threw it over my hands sending A LOT of someone elseās disgusting nail particles flying onto my arms, shirt, and face. I was disgusted, speechless, and trying not to cry. At that point, I just started laughing because I couldn't believe the situation I was in. I just wanted to leave. He apologized again and laughed. He then asked what color i wanted but what i wanted was my long natural nails shaped into almond which was not possible anymore so I told him no color just to finish taking the overlay off because I was done.
He didnāt charge me for the overlay removal, they did charge me for the pedicure which was fine but after that experience there was no real effort into making it right. This was a truly horrible experience. Mistakes happen, but this level of carelessness and disregard is unacceptable.
Attached are before and after pictures. My nails are damaged, flimsy, and uneven.
For proof of the strangers nail dust flying all over me look at your camera footage I was covered in it. It's very visible on my black shirt.
UPDATE: After reading my review MiMi reached out to me privately to apologize. She was very kind and understanding. She offered to refund my money and help treat my nails until they recover at no cost. I really appreciate the effort and the apology. I kindly declined. I explained I do not feel comfortable returning. I didn't accept the refund either. I just hope this is a learning experience for better service to future customers. I wish...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIm not the type to do any bad reviews but I do want to share my personal experience about this place. I did go here because of all the Amazon reviews I saw on Google of course, since it was my first time being here I did not want to have that many high expectations. But as soon as I walked in the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I did initially ask the guy working there that I wanted shellac and a soak off since I still had my over grown birthday set. They then ask me to sit and they started popping off my nails with a nail bid. I kept getting asked over and over if it hurt and I kept telling them yes and they still continued to pop them off. There was about 3-4 stubborn nails that would not pop off so he did ask a co-worker to assist him and she did utilize a tool to help remove them that did in fact hurt. I did give them the benefit of the doubt since ofcourse they where very friendly and they did have many other customers to attend and I do understand time is money. Once they where able to get them all removed the gentleman working on my nails asked me what I wanted once again so I showed him an inspo. But since my natural nails were so damaged he stated shellac was best since my nails where extremely damaged and what I wanted would no longer look the same. So I did agree upon the shellac( I did ask for a pink Frenchie set btw). The gentleman did a good job shaping and doing my acrylic nails however he did not give me the color I asked for. At that point I just wanted my nails done so that I could leave so I did not argue or tell him anything which I was okay with by that point. Once they finished my nails they did come off looking good so I payed. I did ask if I could use the restroom and since I was one of the last customer on that nail salon one of the workers was using the restroom so they where all jokingly rushing her so i could use it. Once it was my turn to use it there was no lock. Iām not sure if I was just blind but I was unable to lock the door so I carried on with doing my business. When I was washing my hands one of the gentleman who was working there unfortunately did walk in on my without knocking and did not apologize and just said āoh. ā At that point I felt very uncomfortable and left and went on about my business. I did not say anything and left. Fast forward to a week and a half. My acrylic did start lifting so I did have to get them done somewhere else. I did give them the benefit of the doubt like I said but I personally will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was really excited to try this nail salon for the first time, especially since it had great reviews and I hadnāt had a pedicure in a while. The salon was super clean, the atmosphere was nice, and the technician who helped me was very kind. I appreciated the welcoming environment and was looking forward to a relaxing experienceāespecially since I had a rare moment to myself without the kids.
Unfortunately, things took a turn when the technician accidentally cut my cuticle on my big toe. It was painful at the moment, and even though he did apologize, the cut was deep. Itās now been several days (this happened on Sunday and today is Friday), and itās still sore and uncomfortable.
Instead of feeling pampered and relaxed, I ended up just wanting to leave because of the pain. I really wanted to like this place, and I still think they offer good service overallābut this experience left me disappointed and...
