Lashonda is AMAZING!

I usually stick to self check out anywhere I go grocery shopping bec interaction can be intimidating for me. Well, the last 2 trips to this store in the morning around opening time the self checkout computers are off.

The first time (last week) I was a little frustrated by this and was forced to have to go to the regular check out line. The only one available at that time is Lashonda. It was my first time using the Brookeshires App and digital coupons process so I was pretty confused. Lashonda explained everything so well and helped me to understand how it works. I am grateful for that. Groceries can be pretty expensive and I’m looking for ways to save any way I can. She was also just really cool and easy to talk to, very personable. She has such a great attitude and you can tell that her character is genuine and sincere.

Today was my second time interacting with her because the same situation as last time….self check out was down, she was the only cashier available at 7am. But this time I was excited about it because it’s her! She’s so nice and helpful. She knows her job, the products, and the process very well and is so good at explaining things and also pointing out of something doesn’t look right and knowing how to correct it! She’s very knowledgeable, she cares, and she’s just overall great at what she does and makes my day with her awesome attitude and ease to talk to. I’ve never experienced that level of customer service elsewhere. She’s so great!

I've seen videos of how some stores resell their old meat by unwrapping it, brushing or dabbing the meat in blood, rewrapping the meat and putting a new sell by date on it and putting it back out for sell. But I though it was fake until I just bought meat from Brookshires in Brownwood and truly think this is what they did. The meat looked really good on the outside but when I got home (which is 3 minutes down the road) I opened it and pulled the 2 steaks apart the meat was brown and white where the two touched. Not only was the meat brown but it had a bad odor to it as well. I took pictures and will try to post on this review as well. It was 1.76 lbs of SLT ROUND TOP STEAK TENDER. So that's $10.54 of my money wasted and I certainly won't be shopping at...

I haven't been to Brookshire in years. Not since United opened. Stopped in today. Was very pleasantly surprised at how much the place has changed. Very excited. Great selection of specialty foods, competitive with HEB. However, they tripped at the finish line. Checking out was painfully slow, and when they did finally open more registers they pulled in people who'd just walked up while some of us had been standing their for 10 minutes and would stand there 5 more. Gotta do better at seeing where the problem is and getting the people out who have...
