Visiting Cabela's was an absolutely delightful experience for our family! The moment we stepped into the store, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful visit. They were knowledgeable, eager to help, and genuinely interested in making our experience memorable.
The store itself was impeccably organized and stocked with a vast selection of outdoor gear. Whether it was camping, fishing, or hunting gear, everything we could possibly need for our outdoor adventures was readily available. The product quality was top-notch, and the prices were very reasonable, making it easy to equip our family for any expedition.
A standout feature for us was the incredible wildlife displays. The kids were utterly fascinated by the realistic dioramas showcasing animals in their natural habitats. It was not only entertaining but educational for them, providing a chance to learn more about wildlife in an engaging way.
Moreover, the aquarium section was a major hit with my children. They loved watching the various fish species swim around, and it sparked many questions about aquatic life. It's wonderful to see a store that can turn shopping into an exciting learning experience for kids.
The dedication to customer satisfaction at Cabela's really sets it apart. Every staff member we interacted with was patient and helpful, making sure our questions were answered and that we left happy. The checkout process was smooth, and the overall service was exceptional.
In conclusion, Cabela's is more than just a store; it's an adventure that the whole family can enjoy. My kids had an absolute blast, and we all look forward to our next visit. It's the perfect destination for anyone who loves the outdoors. Thank you, Cabela's, for such a fantastic...
Read moreI was just there; this is two stars simply because it was exceptionally busy, so the situation is somewhat understandable.
I waited at the gun counter for an hour (though I said to them it was 45 minutes) before I was told that what I took to be a separate line wasn’t a separate line, that the line started over on the other side of the store, and that there was a two hour wait. Now, I had been standing there for an hour; I wasn’t inconspicuous, since I was in full motorcycle gear. All the employees noticed me, and I was standing in front of two gentlemen for practically the whole time I was there.
At no point did anyone ask if I’d signed in to wait, which was apparently a thing. If they had asked, they would’ve saved me—well, maybe half an hour, maybe forty five minutes, maybe fifty five minutes, all depending on when precisely they would’ve checked. It would’ve taken fifteen seconds, and with all the paperwork going on, there was downtime enough to glance over and ask if I’d signed in. There was no sign or any other indicator to suggest what I should’ve been doing, at least not that I noticed. My impression is that the employees just assumed that customers knew what was going on. I certainly didn’t.
Now, perhaps that makes me an idiot; it wouldn’t be the first time that turned out to be the case. However, it is the obligation of employees to stay aware of the situation, including idiot customers.
Tl;Dr: don’t assume your customer isn’t an idiot; he just might be, and it’s also possible that the situation—such as how many lines there are and where they start— could be misinterpreted by someone who isn’t an idiot. Anyway, I’ll go to Gunbroker for my gun purchases from now on; they won’t waste as...
Read moreBEWARE!!!! First of all shame on Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shop for allowing these scammers to prey on their customers. Our family was lured and deceived into a seemingly enchanting (Bid Cedar Lodge at the Ozarks) offer at a Cabela’s in Buda Texas. The bait? A mere $250 for a three-night stay at the beautiful Big Cedar Lodge, added scam bonus a $50 Bass Pro/Cabela’s gift card and the promise of either $200 in local activities or a $150 MasterCard gift card after a mandatory, two-hour presentation. (The speaker was a pastor who used some Cancer story about his son to make the group feel sorry for him.) We were super excited to visit Bid Cedar Lodge, what we were promised. Upon arrival, we headed to the Registration center and were told that we were at the wrong place. We were sent to the BlueGreen Vacations office. At Bluegreen Welcome Center at Big Cedar Lodge Wilderness Center, we were then told we were staying at the Chateau by the Lake, 30 mins away from the Big Cedar Lodge. We were lost, shock and so disappointed. The Chateau by the Lake was nothing like what was promised. The Big Cedar Lodge was the only reason we agreed to visit the Ozark's:( Our vacation dream was ruined.
Since the the presentation was mandatory, we attended. Like I mentioned earlier, the speaker was shady and the sales team people seemed super fraudulent, scam artists!!! Long story short, their timeshare was 49,999 plus an annual fee of 2000 per year. They were ready to run people’s credit with a 16.99% APR. They pitched several sales pitches, after declining one they threw another. They were super aggressive and made you feel like you had no other option. The sales manager came in to add more pressure. Please...
