After my experience with the manager there named Jose or Juan, I don’t remember his name, but it started with a J, I will not be patronizing this store any more.
My very elderly neighbor of 85-years old, was going to be spending Christmas alone because his wife is in a nursing home. At his request, I took him to visit his wife and then he asked we stop at Walgreens to pick up some vodka.
This neighbor has very limited English. He can communicate very minimally but understands very little English. When he did not understand the cashiers request for an ID, either because he did not understand the request, or because he does not carry an ID due to not being able to drive, I told him I would use MY credit card and MY ID to make the purchase. The manager said absolutely not. I said this is very silly, this elderly gentleman is quite obviously over 21-years of age! The manager continued to be curt and rude.
My neighbor was disappointed but we left, and I told him I would try to go in again and make the purchase alone. I went in, I selected the vodka and even some alcohol to give family as a gift for having me for dinner, and when it came time for my to check out the manager whispered to the cashier not to allow the transaction.
At that point I spoke up. 1. It was ME using MY ID and MY credit card. 2. I was alone and making the purchase 3. Even if I was trying to help out my very obvious elderly neighbor, my neighbor was quite obviously old enough to decide how he wanted to celebrate Christmas. 4. I am a religious and regular customer there, but after the managers treatment of me and my neighbor I would not be returning to that location
The manager responded very rudely that he didn’t care if he lost my business. I was trying to sell alcohol to someone without an ID. I said again I am the one buying the alcohol and it is my ID and that gentleman is 85-years old! He is very obvious of age!
I said okay so you aren’t going to allow me to make my purchase fine but I’m going to corporate. He said he was fine with me going to corporate because they would applaud him for a job well done.
At that point I looked him dead in the eye, and said you obviously haven’t heard this enough today so merry Christmas to you!
I will not be shopping at the location anymore.
I can see if I had a teenager with me, then make a big deal out of it. But this was an 85-year-old gentleman!
If this manager thinks that being curt and rude to customers is just doing his job, then he needs to go through customer service training. When I came in alone the second time, he should have just left things alone and not tried preventing me from making...
   Read moreFirst I want to start off by saying the phone service or answering service is completely awful they need to do something about that secondly I took my prescription in to get it filled it was a prescription 4 115 tablets the pharmacist tried to tell me that I could pick up 90 of them and then next month I could pick up the other 25 so she was trying to move me from four times a day to three times a day when she's not my doctor could have caused me to have epilepsy I've gone to this Pharmacy for 5 years and never have I had any problems until I ran into this new pharmacist she was polite but while she was polite she had a control problem pharmacist need to know that the doctors write the prescriptions that the pharmacist don't have the power to move somebody down on their medicine up on their medicine or take them off that is a doctor's job a pharmacist is not a doctor and I could kill a person she did not know what she was doing I got charged two times and waited for 4 hours she had a prescription and she said that there were no instructions on it the only instruction there is though is under the tongue there is not an option to swallow or up the but there is no other way the only way is under the tongue so she's telling me I can't give it to you because there are no instructions on what to do with it and I'm telling her there's only one thing you can do with it my daughter's sick she's 6 years old she's with me and we're waiting 3 to 4 hours this whole time after they said it would take only 25 minutes and then after 25 minutes it was just 25 more minutes and then after that it was just about 15 more minutes sorry we're trying I had to get in touch with my doctor have him call the pharmacy after he wrote a note out to them but they just gave me hard time I highly recommend you go to any pharmacy but this one because any pharmacy would be better than this one and I've been a patient there at that Pharmacy for 5 years and I am now changing pharmacies because they hired a new pharmacist and it's how the pharmacist comes off as well as the answering Services as well as the way they treat you on the way...
   Read morewe moved in to the neighborhood 4 years ago. since then we have had nothing but problems getting our medications! problems include insurance issues every time we would go even though insurance had already been verified and we had to go through the same process every single time for like 3 times. That was for one of our children. then my husband who is a regular due to his condition had the same issue with our insurance and that was a year after the first issue with our child. then a year later medication changed and the app and messages on phone calls would say it was being prepared. for days they both said that. when he called them and got a live person they finally said oh we are preparing it for you. that issue was 2 months ago. now I barely get medication and this one time I need it I had to do the same game my husband did. it was supposed to be ready yesterday according to the call i gave the automated system yesterday. The order was placed friday after noon! today is sunday and the automated system said it wasnt ready so i decided to talk to a live person. first person said they didnt have it in stock transferred me to another line when i asked her to see if another walgreens had it and system hung up on me. then i called again and spoke to a different person and they at least helped me by explaining there is an issue with my account and i had to be transferred to another group that actually prepares the medication so they can over ride whatever issue i had. so i waited like 7 minutes before i got someone and he said medication is being prepared it will be 45 minutes. If someone can explain how it all works and why there are so many issues here then I would try to understand better but I am truly thinking about driving 15 more minutes away to switch to...
